Teacher cleared by court for coconut placard at rally
Marieha Hussain held a placard at a protest depicting Rishi Sunak and Suella Braverman as coconuts.

What hope to our kids have when this is an example of who is teaching them![]()

Did you read about her record? What hope to our kids have when this is an example of who is teaching them
Taking the p*ss out of the extremely unpleasant Braverman seems to me like appropriate political banter. Sunak was just collateral.Well at least we now know that saying or implying someone is a ‘coconut’ is not racist or abusive. Apparently it can be classed as just a bit of light hearted banter and is allowed because of freedom of expression…would that be the same freedom of expression that seems isn’t allowed if you’re white!
Yes I did. She may have an exemplary record as a teacher but I would not want my children taught by someone who behaves like this in publicDid you read about her record?
She is an exemplary teacher.
Ridiculous post,Taking the p*ss out of the extremely unpleasant Braverman seems to me like appropriate political banter. Sunak was just collateral.
This was a daft prosecution and would have been whoever was on the end of it.
I see you again proving how conservative you areTaking the p*ss out of the extremely unpleasant Braverman seems to me like appropriate political banter. Sunak was just collateral.

Teachers aren’t allowed to have private lives?Yes I did. She may have an exemplary record as a teacher but I would not want my children taught by someone who behaves like this in public
Braverman is no more a conservative than is Farage or Yaxley-Lennon.I see you again proving how conservative you are
Do they? Teachers? Really? They certainly didn't when I was at school. I remember one kid getting slung out for wearing a Yes to Europe badge by a history teacher who was a well known Marxist.Teachers aren’t allowed to have private lives?
They are professionals. Just as border officers are. Both do their jobs and leave their politics at home when doing so.
Only if a non white person says itWell at least we now know that saying or implying someone is a ‘coconut’ is not racist or abusive. I fail to see how she hasn't been labelled as far right.Only if a non white person says it

No, he was a good teacher and a highly respected writer. His politics were old style hard line though. From what I remember (50 years is quite a while) he was against a lot of things but not actually in favour of very much.Sounds like an idiot and a wanchor.
