The Politics of 'Climate-change'

Interesting enough Palace have only had 1 win at home in the league since Trump won the election. Perhaps there is a correlation with Trump being president, the weather and our home form?

🤔🙄

There’s no pronouncements from anyone. There’s a consensus among the specialist scientific community that I trust, alongside just about every government not adopting selfishness as their primary focus.

I don’t want anyone to do anything as individuals. I want us all to be led by government and industry. To be educated, encouraged and regulated in ways which enable change to happen. Once educated I want us all to support and accept those changes. Change cannot happen overnight and life must go on, but change must happen. We owe it to our children, their children and every subsequent generation.
Can't decide between one set wanting us to accept responsibility for the actions of previous generations and another wanting to take responsibility for those still to come so I think I'll just let everyone else get on with it. Support changes or don't. It won't make any difference.

Up to you but it seems pointless taking responsibility for the past. Learn from it but no more. You cannot change it. Taking responsibility for the future has the capacity to actually do something positive so is much more worthwhile.

A lack of realism is a damaging aspect of British government for a very long time now.

For example this 'net zero' policy....First Johnson and now Starmer. A big plank of that is to encourage....nay almost force people to make the switch to EV......But price means that the economies of scale just aren't there yet.

We all know that electric vehicles have a higher purchase price compared to their petrol counterparts. For example, taking the Vauxhall Mokka as a reference, the petrol GS Line costs around £24,640, while the electric equivalent is priced at approximately £31,945. This indicates a price difference of about £7,305.

I suspect you are beyond help! You are so determined that climate change is made up you refuse to believe it isn’t. Despite all the testimony from well respected and trusted scientists who have no motivation to lie.

Nor all science depends onlaboratory work. Much depends on observation and evaluation of data. That science is equally valid. When it results in statements like this:-

“Since systematic scientific assessments began in the 1970s, the influence of human activity on the warming of the climate system has evolved from theory to established fact."

I think the time for debate is over. The conclusion has been reached and those who only want to prevaricate must be ignored. Now is the time for action.

I am still waiting to learn what your field of science was. I am not a scientist but I employed many.

What makes them well trusted?

Still waiting for the facts there is none because someone seize something doesn't make it so.

There was never a debate to begin with that is not how science works.

I posted my fields when you was appealing to authority in the covid times I am not going to keep repeating it.

When the world is in the process of being turned upside down by him it's next to impossible not to mention him. He is impacting so many things.

It's not restricted to me. Watch the news reports. Many things get connected.

You getting bored and accepting the lies and disastrous policies is exactly what he wants. It's already happening to Congress who are giving him a free pass to do things that are actually their responsibility. Just wait until he announces amendments to the Constitution that give him more direct power and watch them agree.

Voices that point this out, continuously, might be tedious to some, but are necessary.

The only ones deluded by Trump are those who think he is on their side and doing a good job.
The world needed turning upside down to turn out all s***!
