Also he's usually on the R side of the back 3, he complements Munoz wellI think he is our best defender, more blocks, more headers won, most tackles won, maybe that makes up for his passing

I am advised that Chris Richards used to be deployed on the left-wing in the USA until aged 15.Earlier in the season I agree that Richards’ passing was poor, in my view he has improved this aspect of his game a great deal and his pass up to Mateta for ‘that’ goal was a good example.
I don’t altogether get the idea that Palace will sell Guehi in the summer as if he was a piece of meat in a butcher’s shop, the club may want to sell him but he may choose not to go. It wouldn’t surprise me to see him run down his contract. I’m sure Liverpool would have liked to get a fee for Alexander Arnold but they didn’t get one.
I am advised that Ethan Laird of Birmingham adds athleticism and explosiveness down the right flank. We’ve already made our key summer signing - the extension of Munoz’s contract.
He’s a unique player and a key component of Glasner’s system.
I don’t think the system works without him and can’t think of an equivalent player with similar drive, passion and extraordinary fitness levels to replace him.
Look at how many goals come from his raids down our right side.
He tends to be involved in the build up even if he doesn’t play the final ball in.
I note he won both the Fan’s player and Player’s player of the year awards.
His contribution is clearly recognised by his fellow teammates who work with him every day.
He was also second in tackles in the league. Mitchell was joint ninth. We’ve already made our key summer signing - the extension of Munoz’s contract.

The paycheque at the end mitigates the risk 😆Sure but he may miss out on another club as he holds on for Real Madrid and it never happens. He'll always get a club whether it's his first choice?
Don't get me wrong I don't feel sorry for Guehi, if he is planning on running his contract down that is his decision, just pointing out that it is high risk.
I think every club bar Arsenal will be sniffing around - I think he improves nearly any team in the division. The Telegraph is reporting that Newcastle are again in for Guehi and want to move quickly on this while being unwilling to match the £65m offered last season.
I think they will be in for him again.
The question is whether he's interested in joining them, and whether there are other interested clubs he would be more keen to join.
To my mind he would be a benefit to any top club including Man City and Liverpool.
It would be a surprise to me if Newcastle is the best he can get.
I think there is a lot of truth to this.
Letting our top players see out their contracts so we can have one ok season in Europe is nice and all that but financially fruitcake-ville.
We need at least a one year contract for certain players if they are going to be here next season.
Romance is for those who can afford it.
OG, knows he has seven or eight stand out performers, and he knows they will likely get tapped by the more wealthy clubs here and in Europe ,then the odds are ,just as was the case with Olise, they may go. It’s not that we will not resist,as they are all under contract. But money invariably talks, both for the club and the player."I don't want to comment on individual players," Glasner told Sky Sports News.
"We could talk about Marc Guehi, Dean Henderson, Adam Wharton, Jean Philippe-Mateta and Ismalia Sarr, who had an incredible season for us.
"We won't sell all of them."
Glasners comments on Sky Sports, this to me says we are going to sell some of them, disappointed if anyone leaves, and doesn't negotiate a deal that keeps them at Palace one more season, although if Glasner is happy.......

Certainly not forwarded to me by Sir George Oogle !That'll be our new Australian scout, George Oogle.
I'd completely forgotten about Ahamada to be honest 😳One definite departure just announced - Schlupp.
I hadn't appreciated he had done 8.5 years with the club.
He's had some very good spells and been a useful squad member.
A good player who has definitely perforned a role.
It's busy summer for departures too.
I'm thinking Holding, Ahamada, Edouard and possibly JRS and a few youngsters too.
