Summer Transfers 2025 (rumours and incomings)

It looks as if our summer transfers will be pressed into action sooner than they normally would be.
Our good form in recent months has in attacking terms relied on the good form on Eze, JPM and Sarr prompted by Wharton.

We now face a spell with only one of them being available in JPM.

I suspect Pina and Kamada will take the advanced positions alongside JPM on Saturday, but we’ll miss the thrust of Sarr and his ability to run in behind.
I wonder if Uche will have an involvement as he looks to be quick and strong.
International duty means there will have been a lack of time to bed him in, but it may be a case of needs must.

In the coming weeks I’m not concerned about our defensive stability based on us being able to field the same back 5, but we will have to find a way of carrying a threat offensively in the absence of Eze, Sarr and Wharton.
Good post, this will be an interesting period, and we really need to be beating Sunderland at home if we are to keep any momentum. I agree with your expected front 3, and I am guessing that means Lerma will line up next to Hughes in midfield. We will need Munoz and Mitchell to be effective going forward as we are lacking creativity elsewhere (but hopefully Pino can provide some of that). I imagine we will see Uche from the bench if we are struggling going forward.

I am quite optimistic following the transfer rumour mill chaos and legal issues over the summer. We lost Eze and got rid of some dead wood (Holding, Ebiowei, Eduard, Plange), but the Eze loss was inevitiable at our current status and his age.

Glad Marc stayed even if it is only for a year. I think the lost sale income will be offset by our competition prize money in the EPL and Conference league, plus hopefully persuading OG to stay. The five players we have got in are relatively cheap and cover all the positions we had issues with, and we have a couple of promising youngsters we can throw in.

Hopefully it wont all fall flat and the Opta predication of 60 points and a top 6 finish prove accurate. I will be happy with a Conference League win or a top 8 finish and more European football next season. Enjoying the rollercoaster since 2010 after 15 years of gloom.
