There were arrests made and given the huge numbers that turned out it wasn’t surprising that there were a few morons. Every march was attended by supportive Jewish groups so the focus of the marches was not to be antisemitic, unlike the riots here that had racist violence as their primary motive.

So the anti Jewish sentiment was just a few morons, but the Southport riot was a full blown Nazi uprising?

a religion is not a race. There are Christians ranging from very pale to very black. And there are other religions with everything in between.

If a religion is loving and peaceful then great. If it preaches violent hate against, say, Jews, Women Apostates, Atheists, Comedians, writers, and Gays.....then do not be surprised if some people get cross.

Hmm, it’s a bit late to explain basic mathematics to you but here goes. In one case you have tens of thousands of people attending rallies to protest the actions of the Israeli government, this included several Jewish groups who said they felt safe and welcome. At the same time there were undeniable instances of antisemitism in the crowd but the overwhelming majority of the crowd weren’t involved and were peacefully demonstrating. So the focus of the demonstration wasn’t antisemitism, unless there were Jewish groups involved as well?
In the second case a much smaller group of people turned up to attack a mosque, loot a corner shop, chant racist slogans and attack the police. The overwhelming majority of this mob joined in in some way, so the focus of the crowd was clearly racially motivated violence.

Thinking really isn’t your strong point, maybe you should just stick to using the ‘like’ button on your mate’s posts in future.

Introducing race is really just a red herring. Or perhaps I should say, a herring of colour. 🙄

Racism in this context is a catch all for every kind of hate crime directed at people because of their racial origins or religious beliefs. It isn’t accurate but as the hatred is often aimed at people for both reasons it serves.

Just because England has an Established Church doesn’t make it a Christian country. It was once, but is no longer. There are more non believers than believers and they belong to a multitude of faiths.

It’s no more accurate than suggesting that people who wrap themselves up in St George’s Cross flags and call themselves “patriots”, really are. Most are just far right thugs and bully boys.

I really hope this isn’t a recent inmate from the riots. If so the blood is on 2TK for wanting to name every prisoner arrested and jailed. It is more than a coincidence !
Jail is for getting out of after your punishment , not for dying in; for most anyway.

If anything it might be misinformation. Disinformation is knowingly providing false information. The details of the perpetrator weren’t known to be false at the time and therefore misinformation.

It was 100% disinformation because those spreading it knew full well that whatever name was circulated, be it right or wrong, that the murder of 3 little girls in Southport has no connection whatsoever to anyone other than the perpetrator. What they were doing and what they will doubtless do again when the opportunity arises, is send out dog whistles of encouragement to their far right foot soldiers that here is an opportunity to make some noise and attract attention. You have only to read this thread to realise that those foot soldiers responded. Some rioted. Others post in places like this.

It’s been a bad few days for the far right. Their hypocrisy has been sorely exposed and decent society has both condemned and resisted. It has also been reassured by the swift and tough justice handed out. That will surely deter many from joining copy cat events. The dog whistles may now echo in the dark.

The togetherness shown by local communities, often comprised of a mixture of ethnicities, was heartwarming to see and is a beacon of hope for all. Except those on the far right.

So a peaceful protest about not wanting illegal immigrants rocking up in their 1000s is now potentially banned and far right. You could say that all of the pro immigration, pro Palestine, antisemetic counter protesters are far left antifa. But that is your side so nothing wrong I guess.

May as well replace it with Islam then if church going numbers are down. But as Alex Phillips says, it’s the foundations of our country, not an imported religion from thousands of miles away.
