Kamada

The BBC has a neat feature on its game report page; click on "line ups" and it gives you the opportunity to click on all the players and glean their stats. Any doubts as to what Kamada does and how important he is to the overall functioning of the midfield should be dispelled immediately.

Not a startling revelation but he's a pretty average player in the PL and is better playing against European teams. Some players are just better suited to different styles.

Again Kamada's stats check out - he's always amongst the most accurate passers and also wins his tackles, and he covers as much ground as the best of them. Those who constantly criticize him have no clue.

Agree, and the constant moaning about lack of goals.

He's got a really good goal record, just not for Palace. Its less of a reflection on him, and more a reflection on the role our midfield 2 play for us.

Kamada may not look as flash as some other midfielders near the top of the table. But his statistics for us are always solid. I see him as the key to both our defence and our counterattacks.
He was a key ingredient 'when we were Kings at the Palace'. Unbeaten in 19 games.

I am not a Kamada hater, and I think against most teams we are a better team with him on the pitch

I also think it is unfair to judge him on his inflated salary because he joined "on a free"

The one bit of his game that infuriates me though, is his lack of "bite" and determination in challenges - often just making it look like an attempt but not really going for it

Even last night, before his great pass to JSL for the goal, I thought he bottled the challenge, but got lucky to come away with the ball and not lose it for them to counter us

I am therefore a bit 50/50 if he stays or goes and would be fine either way

thought he had a couple of moments when he looked absolutely clueless, like when the ball was cleared up to him and their keeper was on the half way line and he headed it back to no one to lose possession. He had no idea what to do in that situation. But then he scored a really well taken goal and that assist for JSL. I'm not convinced by him at all, but do acknowledge he has rare moments of brilliance (like the semi v Villa).
