Kamada will be an asset

I know it was only Saudi Arabia but maybe any sort of goalscoring judt st tjr minute......? (Sorry the link's gone doolally; take the 'Watch on You Tube option)

and benched for the game against Australia - Japan's closest rivals in the group.

Brilliant run and sent in a great cross ball which was turned in for an aussie own goal. He has certainly made a difference, commentator raving about him!

He seems to be playing wide left and very comfortable with both feet. He looks a real handful, happy to run at defenders and a great final ball. I hope OG is watching to see how he can best be utilised.

The player you are talking about is Nakamura, not Kamada. He came on at the same time as Kamada.

Whoops! I think I may be crediting Ahamada with some of Nakamura's work. I had the game on in the background. However, I still saw some great work from what was definitely Ahamada. Enough to sense that he really is capable of producing more for us than we have seen.

Whether his underwhelming start with us is down to poor management, being played out of position, needing time to settle, a language barrier - who knows? But he could be a gem for us that just needs a little polishing.

Super take, control and expertly skipped passed player to score a great goal at Villa - yes, he’s taking time to adapt to the premier league but I’m confident he’ll be an asset. Let’s support him and not criticise to heavily. Give it till Christmas.

Agree

Also lets remember his best position is no10. And as we saw from the Villa goal, he pressed perfectly and finished well from that position.

always going to be difficult playing wide right one game, no 6/8 then next.

He looked more comfortable coming in off the left. If Eze is out for Wolves then I'd be happy to see him fill his boots. He works hard but he still looks too lightweight to play as a 6 or an 8.

Good to see him score and that won't do his confidence any harm.

Having seen the post game interview with him, he knows he still has more to do.

My ongoing concerns aren't over his technical ability, it's whether he can cope with the physicality and intensity of the Premier League.

Yes, this is a chance for him to prove himself. Eze out for a while, a short while we hope, and he's just scored a pretty good goal. If nothing else it'll be a clue as to how we'd have got on if, horrible thought, Ebs had been sold.

He does seem to get brushed off the ball and lose possession far too easily, but my biggest complaint about him was that what does he actually give us or do? Well at at least now he’s given us a winning goal in the cup, he’s actually done something memorable
