Kamada will be an asset

Not another Edourde!
He’s definitely not that. Eddie was never known for his work rate. Celtic suited him because he didn’t have to break sweat to score loads of goals. Daizen is blessed with pace and will run all day. He’d be at the back post every time Munoz crossed the ball.

Even accepting big clubs have different expectations he's only had two league games. He'll need a bit longer to settle down before his stats are much of an issue.
He’s adjusting well and will take time to adjust to the new players and configurations with Sarr and Nketiah plus of course the new defensive lineup

A lot of you have hit the nail on the head for me.

He's not a spectacular player, not super fast, or full of tricks. But is technically good, neat, and hardworking.

My impression is he's the sort of player that will make the right decision more often than not. That will square it if someone has a better shooting opportunity. That will finish when in good positions.

I’m not sure if Palace fans are born optimists or pessimists!

Remaining problem to fix is a truely attacking LWB to replace Mitchell who is still an excellent defensive LB

The question for me is whether both Eze and Kamada can be accomodated in the same team.
It's clear that Kamada is not one of a two in central midfield or a right sided forward.
However, he has demonstrated that he can be effective buzzing around in the final third for both his previous clubs and for his country.
The balance of the team looks wrong in the the attacking areas when both Eze and Kamada feature.
Eze is probably undroppable, so I can't see a role for Kamada in the near term other than as a sub.

The new signings have been underwhelming after the lose of Olise we needed a spark and the Riads of this world couldn't start a fire with a troop of boy scouts, where is that marque signing?

the japan vs saudi game

Maybe if palace could play against teams from Asia/oceania every week he’d look good for us😀

Think he had some unfair early criticism. He’s adapting to English football and after just 2 half games and last night’s cup match his return of 1 goal and 1 assist is proving his potential. He’s got good technique and and pace around the pitch. His composure in front of goal last night and in a pre season friendly gives me a lot of positivity. I just wished people didn’t dismiss his ability so early in his career at Palace. I think he will be a big asset to us.
I agree, think I said on another thread Europa league winners are generally not sh*t and clubs the stature of Lazio and Frankfurt tend to know a quality player when they see one.
Kamada will come good when he gets a handle on the Prem. I feel sure about that.

Some said that about Riedevald, year after year after year 🤣

All nice & good, but, without a link who's to say they are correct. 😀

Yeah this is why the idea of "Free transfer" is wrong. Instead of a fee to the club you give part of that would have been fee to the player/agent.

In reality Nketiah for example costs 9,500,000 something a year. 5m a year for the fee and then 4.5m a year salary.

Did he smile for them? You would think that as our top earning player we might have got a smile out of him .. but nope.

Japanese men (especially) are not ones for showing much emotion which includes smiling at work.

So, your comments are based on your own beliefs and not accustomed to the different cultures globally.
