Kamada will be an asset

Well, according to the notification i just got from the club, that's what he is, voted for by the 'fans', tho on the bbc it was JPM as he was on Sky. Funny people football fans . . . 😕
Why are the BBC more qualified to judge that than Palace fans?

I don't think a player with 5 touches can ever be man of the match, no matter how good the goal!

I didn't say that the bbc voted JP MoTM, it was on their report & voted for by numerous fans, no matter who they support or live . . .

Got you.

Mateta is popular amongst football fans so no surprise he won that.

I thought he played well yesterday and clearly i want him to succeed, however, let's be honest.

He's only been here since pre season so your 14 months is about 6 months too long.

He has predominantly been a bit part player and has often only started when we have injuries or suspensions (for Hughes!). in almost all our best performances this season (e.g. Brighton away, Fulham away, both, and Villa at home) he has been used as a sub and has come on to replace tired legs or to prevent Hughes getting sent off.

At CM he is still probably 4th choice out of 4, despite a few improved performances of late.

Time will tell.

IMO it wont be long before its clear that Wharton and Kamada are the starting pair.

He signed a very lucrative 2 year contract and the first season has about 1 month left - how long do you want to wait?

Kamada and Wharton, barring injuries, will never be the preferred CM pairing in the current formation as neither has the physical capabilities. Hughes has just been extended for 2 years so he is clearly in OG's thoughts.

If our transfer window is as usual it's a possibility but likely Wharton will go. We've been linked with a right back/ midfielder friend of Eze's for a couple of seasons now. Is it Bright Osai-Samuel or something like that?
I think we're very determined to hang onto Wharton this summer (with Guehi almost certainly going, and Eze likely-ish to) - it would take a silly offer for us to consider selling Wharton, but given how rare his profile is, we may well get a silly offer.
