Is the club defrauding loyal supporters?

Just read that a third party site is selling 1,400 tickets for tonight's Spurs v L'pool match in the home end to L'pool fans. Also it said that Spurs can't control the sales & this has also happened in the last few home games with the obvious consequences. Didn't mention the site.

Brings to mind our occasional chant "your grounds too big for you." It would seem that THFC does not have enough supporters. Whether they use discounts for seniors, juniors, taking a friend, members, or perhaps members of the public.
I believe that one duty of a box office is to get friendly bottoms onto seats. My experience is that after the Chelsea game I went to the box office to ask about away matches for which tickets were being sold. I decided that Leicester as being a little distant with a 19:30 KO, and was placed on the waiting list for the West Ham Match. I have now been sold a ticket.

Clearly the box office is doing a good job. Regarding Ticketmaster staff reselling tickets, I go back to a previous thought. The crowd can be scanned to check whether the same person attends each match - does the Club act on reports of different people sitting in seats almost each match?

It's not the first time I've heard this.

As Ticketmaster are now the club's ticketing company, they are obviously holding back or purchasing themselves a quantity of tickets which are meant to go to members to sell at a huge profit.

Basically they're touting.

is hitting the nail on the head. Because if the club weren't doing it, then even more unscrupulous people might get in on the act, charging much higher prices for the big games.
At least this way the club retains some kind of control over tickets, they can identify the person who paid for the tickets and the club benefits from a bit of extra cash.

Well the club claim they are not doing this, and yes unscrupulous people are getting in on the act. However the club are doing nothing about it so are they involved? If the club is partly responsible, they will not admit it as it would undermine there membership sales and defrauding paid up members in doing so.

Well not on the reports I have made and keep making......as far as I can see not doing a thing about it

Are these generally just ordinary football supporters watching a game or away fans fully involved in the game?

From what I have seen, usually novice supporters determined to watch a premiere league match at any cost. Almost always foreign folk.

It does amaze me while loitering outside the ground now how many foreign languages and accents you hear these days.
