Is the club defrauding loyal supporters?

So once again, yesterday, in the 4 seats in front of me, 2 pairs of Tourists paying inflated prices to an agency. When will the club do something about this?

Give it up, I think you’re fighting a losing battle. Only relegation will solve the problem when they won’t be able to give the tickets away at home to Stoke on a Tuesday night 🤣

With this topic in mind - not initially, but during the conversation - I chatted to a US resident, who as a visitor to London found accommodation i n the Shepherds Bush Area. He told me that his chosen location is good to see Fulham, QPR, and Chelsea in action. He told me that his achieved aim was to watch all three. This he is doing with two matches at Fulham, one at QPR, and (for Chelsea) one at Selhurst Park.
own his own he could sit anywhere and he told me how helpful he found the Box Office and an every home match supporter. He visited the Box Office on Friday, had a pint with the supporter in the Clifton Arms, and found it easy to get a ticket for the Chelsea match - which he enjoyed. One question which the supporters association might like to ask is are groups of seats held during the day before, and on the day of the match to accommodate groups of supporters turning up from other parts of the world?

I assume, buying from the Box Office, he did not pay an inflated price. He is accustomed to visiting the UK and watching matches from time to time.

I was unwell during the week but by Friday felt I would be fit enough to make the journey for the Chelsea game. Unfortunately, I had a bad night Friday night and so at 9.30 Saturday morning I put my seat up for sale through the club's site. I received an email from Ticketmaster at 12.56 confirming it had been resold. I'll check with the chap who sits next to me who, if anyone, sat in my place. There have been previous occasions when I've resold through the club site when no-one actually sat in my seat.

Many of you talk about "tourists".
Are these generally just ordinary football supporters watching a game or away fans fully involved in the game?

I had a Chelsea supporter sat next to us yesterday in lower!
When they vigorously celebrated their goal, had the steward kick them out!
Which they did without question.
How did that happen? The seat is normally empty &.not.a season ticket holder, so how did a Chelsea supporter get this & not a palace member?
Ticketwanker selling to all & sundry

When I think of football tourists in my minds eye (as a broad generalisation) they usually take the shape of international visitors who have some faint allegiance to a team (not necessarily either of the teams playing in that stadium on that day) or have just added a chance to watch a PL game to some travel bucket list - the majority are more interested in the club shop & taking selfies than actually watching the game.

I am sure that the club don't want away fans in home areas - tourists are fine as such.
People need to let the club know which seat and obviously which game if they are away supporters, sporting colours and cheering - assuming the stewards don't get them first!
