Is the club defrauding loyal supporters?

If you consider it, they only need the seat numbers and that will be linked to the original buyer/ member/ season ticket holder/ player/ staff/ whoever. Then just cancel all of those tickets for those seats. Apparently, it's their policy anyway. So they can enforce their own rules.
If they wanted to be really hilariously tough about it: leave it, let everyone in. Then send stewards to remove all of those people before kick off/ just after kick off. Destroy the credibility and viability of the resale sites.
Can the club go on the attack. The club will know which seats have been sold by season tickets.
Then how easy is it for the club to know which of the other seats haven't been sold by the club let say an hour before the match and start freezing anyone from entering the ground for those seats.

I don't know if there is a certain amount of time (an hour) you can't buy a ticket before the match starts. If it is say three hours then start freezing anyone from entering for those seats then or as you say be hilariously tough and let people in for those seats and take it from there.

The club do use agencies to promote and sell their corporate match packages. Seatunique and P1 Travel are 2 of them, I am sure there may be others as well.

Nice idea but might cause a minor riot. Might be a better spectacle that what's on the pitch though.

I've just had this reply from the CPFC Customer Service email:

"Thank you for your email.

I'm sorry for any frustration you experienced trying to purchase tickets for our matches this season. Please be aware that we only sell tickets through our official website and authorised partners. We strongly advise against purchasing tickets from unauthorised third-party websites, as these may be resold at inflated prices or may not be valid for entry.

Our Box Office team is aware of the concerns surrounding ticket resales on external sites. At home fixtures this season, numerous tickets have been blocked which we believed to be touted tickets. This process has worked well and is one we will look to continue in forthcoming fixtures. This is an ongoing process and we appreciate your patience in this matter.

Season ticket holders are able to resell their tickets, so tickets should become available as we get closer to each fixture. You can check online or alternatively, contact our box office on 0333 360 1861 and a member of the team can check availability.

If you have any further questions, please don't hesitate to contact us.

Kind regards"
Generic BS reply

So they blocked tickets! Whoopie, no suggestion how they may start allowing members to actually buy tickets then?

Precisely, doesn't actually answer the question of being able to get hold of tickets! If anything, it's verifing that they know no-one can as the third party sites are selling them.

Think the idea someone had about the head of ticketing going onto a site and buying a ticket is a good idea, as it would show firstly that they could identify the exact seat that is for sale and secondly that they are actually trying to do something about it.

"Patrick" that was it.

It looks like a standard response. They've obviously had a lot of complaints.
Over the years I have dealt with a Patrick from customer service a few times. Never gives their surname and never seen him face to face. Was wondering if this was a generic Patrick customer services use when they don't want to put their actual name to a reply. Or maybe Patrick is just a little bit shy.🙂

Going to try and get 2 seats together at 10AM tomorrow on the dot for Southampton. If I cant manage that it will confirm memberships just a waste of money.

Well damn, just noticed on email from club I cant do that. Only one ticket per membership. Thought that was only for Cat A matches. Surely this is not a Cat A match....I mean....Southampton.
It just gets worse!

If everyone you are buying for is a Gold or Season T + member, where's the issue?

You would hopefully be buying 2 seats together.

Oh, no, that's the issue.
