Is the club defrauding loyal supporters?

My understanding is that loyal supporters have an option to buy the chance to buy tickets before they go on general sale, these are the supporters whose friends and younger people they know will become the next generation of supporters. Taking those people to games is conditional on being able to sit together. From what I have read this currently not available to those loyal supporters.
Two thoughts
Is there a non UK website, saying that rather than going to a prestige stadium and watching football with no atmosphere the opportunity is available for groups (perhaps as a stag party) to see football as it used to be with all the delights of the Arthur Waite bogs?
I have heard that it is possible for every seat to be viewed by CCTV. A comparison of people sitting in particular seats over the nineteen home matches would be informative to the Club. Selection of those seats by the same people every time would be an indication that non CPFC attendance packages are being organised.

Well that might actually help, but really don't think the club are willing or able to get to the bottom of this. Four seats in front of me have different people every match. Informed the club of seat number details weeks ago, nothing done about it so far, just ongoing as it was at yesterdays match again.

The title of this topic should be 'The club are defrauding loyal supporters'. There is no question about it.

I signed on at 10am this morning to buy tickets for the Arsenal game and was told there were 11 people in front of me. I got in in a matter of seconds and when looking at the AW, saw there were no tickets together at all only single ones. I whizzed around elsewhere and then took some screenshots for evidence. The statement from the club saying that there are 2500 tickets available to Gold members at 10am on a sale day is a blatant lie.

We as supporters really need to take some collective action about this. I will continue writing to the club but we really need to do this en masse. Who's up for it?

At the game Saturday against Fulham, I had a row of 10 seats behind me empty. How are they not available to purchase on a gold membership?
Then in concourse 10 people from Atlanta who managed to get tickets together, all kitted out in scarfs and bobble hats.
I’ve given up now, just tried for 2 for myself and son for Arsenal, hit a brick wall as no 2 seats together. You can stick your gold membership up your ?.

There are 2 seats 4 rows in front of me, who have different people every week. Saturday they were Fulham fans ( tbf behaved and did show their loyalty). Last season had a Man City fan there. Block J lower Holmesdale

The row of seats behind me in block V of the Arthur have different people every week, it's 100% always tourists and at least four of them together.

I could be wrong, but I'm not convinced that they're all Gold members...

I've got no problem with people coming to watch us on their holiday, but it does concern me that Gold club members are unable to get a seat together and yet somehow these are always filled with tourists.

Well this is a cat A match, so in their infinite wisdom the club decided a couple of weeks ago to limit the number of tickets available to only one ticket only per membership. As if that would solve or alleviate the problem. Just pisses people off further. Shifting the goalposts. It is a scandal!

It should still have allowed multiple tickets for seats together providing each ticket was assigned to a Gold member. This was impossible though as there were only single seats. I have the screen shots as proof.

Righty did not realise that, assigning multiple memberships on one purchase getting a bit too technical for me. Even if you could do it? (And how do you do that with that silly time limit thing on Ticketmaster?)
Yes you are right voicing this in numbers to the club might help so I am in!

Maybe international memberships , i dont know . I used to have one and was guaranteed 2 seats together and if i wanted more i just contacted box office and asked and they did a few times but had to give plenty of notice .

The Club are actually now saying they have never guaranteed that you could get any seats at all for any type of membership including International memberships. Are they now lying.....would not be surprised at all.

There are 400 seats reserved for international members who manage to reserve on time. They can only reserve one match a season. 2 tickets for A games and some others, 4 seats for the lesser games. The whole point of international membership is to be able to go once. Then, it is the same as "all other members" in the ticket queue. I did try this season but gave up when the tickets kept on disappearing from the basket. I reserved the Liverpool game and brought my son. Was surrounded by tourists in the Arthur.

I may be wrong but I think they have changed this in the last 2 or 3 weeks.

Hi Nicola

I am disappointed that you have not been willing or able to respond to me. In your last reply to me you don't even attempt to answer any of the points I have raised, just paying lip service by stating that you would try to find out some evidence that I asked for. Evidence that has not been forthcoming after three weeks.

I can confirm that absolutely nothing has changed with regard to the problems purchasing tickets. In fact it has got even worse if such a thing were possible. Today I attempted to buy them for the Arsenal match and was in the queue at 10am. I was informed that there were 11 people in the queue ahead of me but within seconds I had access. However there were pretty much only single seats available (this time not even restricted view ones together). As it was clear I was going to be unable to buy any seats together again I took some screenshots (attached) of areas in the Arthur Waite stand where I usually go. As you can see at 10.01 and 10.02 there are only single tickets (and two lots of two) available but I can assure you that this was the case at 10.00am as well.

This situation is a disgrace as I have outlined in my previous emails to you. There are absolutely not 2500 tickets 'reserved exclusively' as you have said to Gold members on the day of a sale. It is simply not true. As I said in my previous email I'd be surprised if there are a couple of hundred. I have never experienced anything like this in all the years that I've been a Gold member and I'm certain that it is not just coincidence that all this started to happen when Ticketmaster took over ticket sales last season, this season being significantly worse. What beggars belief is that not only have you allowed this situation to continue (implying that you just don't care) but the fact that you are still advertising this membership. This is reprehensible, dishonest and probably fraudulent.

To compound the misery of all this, here is what I received in the email from the club this morning, 'Gold Members, Junior Gold Members and Season Ticket+ holders enjoy an exclusive 72-hour priority window to secure their tickets, as one of a vast number of benefits included in their packages'. Why are you still peddling this nonsense? Please explain to me how this is a benefit when no tickets (other than a smattering of single ones) can be bought by these members many of whom are long standing and loyal fans who, like myself, have been members for years but are now completely disenfranchised.

So I ask you, what is the club going to do about this and when? I look forward to a comprehensive response and one rather better than that I have received thus far.

Best wishes

John

She didn't reply to me on numerous occasions both before and after I proved I was deserving of a plastic card. CPISA had to get involved quite a few times on my behalf to help me!!
