Well the man doesn't understand what represented democracy is. What a prat, he'll turn Ireland into the Swiss system which runs dozens of referendums for everything, highly inefficient.
McGregor is an awful tw@t. However, on this case he does have a valid point. We have had politicians signing mad unpopular stuff for decades in Ireland.Well the man doesn't understand what represented democracy is. Yeah, Ireland is really efficient as it is. Everything done on time and under budget. Just like a Swiss watch.Well the man doesn't understand what represented democracy is. What a prat, he'll turn Ireland into the Swiss system which runs dozens of referendums for everything, highly inefficient.

- US Warplanes at Shannon Airport
- the Lisbon Treaty
- Gender identity politics being introduced into the Schools curriculum.
- aid to the military intervention in Ukraine.
- International Protection & asylum seekers........like the village of Dundrum, Co Tipperary..totally swamped.
When your Parliament goes Rogue, you need to rein them in.
Don't care.
The guy is a warrior who actually cares about his people instead of foreigners.
because, Politicians need to be reminded who they work for. Especially when said politicians are out of touch or launching an unpopular Crusade. And Irelands politicians got absolutely thumped on the woke-ism below. He does, then why the need to send everything to the people? Don't you see my point?

My point is that the immigration issue has gone far far beyond concern of whether the system has a Swiss system or not.
If the internationalists remain in power these isles are lost.

Childish drivelThe courts will be full of ex-Etonians trying to get their jollies for free.
Why doesn't the Archbishop of Canterbury, as leader of the church, the biggest land owner in the UK, open all the Churches up to all the poor asylum seekers, i think we know why, but he wont say it or do it.
he could ask his boss. King Charles. Why doesn't the Archbishop of Canterbury, as leader of the church, the biggest land owner in the UK, open all the Churches up to all the poor asylum seekers, i think we know why, but he wont say it or do it.

Ireland votes in ‘women in the home’, ‘makeup of family’ referendums
PM Leo Varadkar says proposed constitutional changes a chance to delete 'very old-fashioned, very sexist language'.www.aljazeera.com
A lot of people don't vote on a manifesto. They are died-in-the-wool supporters of one side or the other and the pre election wish list is largely irrelevant compared to keeping the other lot out of power. That is what an election is for. You vote on a manifesto, and when you're unhappy with the government, you vote for another.
You guys bleat on about wastes of money, by God you don't seem to have a clue about how expensive, inefficient and ineffective the mandate system is.
The Soviet System had elections whereby whoever you voted for, you got the same crappy policies regardless. That is what an election is for. You vote on a manifesto, and when you're unhappy with the government, you vote for another.

Its all looking very familiar, in The West, these days. Spindle, if you are naive enough to trust politicians, to enact their electoral Mandate, then i despair of your world-view. See my examples above, hugely unpopular stuff being enacted willy-nilly by an out of touch ( or corrupted ) ruling elite.
Below is yet another specimen. Hugely unpopular, and already most of our Parliament voted for a Bill on this. A Bill which was only scrapped cos it literally took our country to the Brink of more riots.

Ireland given two months to begin implementing hate speech laws or face legal action from EU
The European Commission said Ireland is allegedly “failing” to comply with laws around race-based violence and hate.www.thejournal.ie
Nobody has ever voted for a ton of immigration. Especially of the type and volume witnessed recently.
Some vote on issues and some on principles the same as they've always done, although not as many as previously since the two main parties are getting more aligned.More fool them. And when let down they do what at the next election?
And since this is the case what makes you think that they'll keep on turning out for votes on every statute?
Ultimately what you are after is a vote on getting the immigration sorted out anyway
I am saying that our illusion of democracy is just that. An illusion. And all my cases are listed above. Based on evidence. Are you seriously comparing our system with the Soviet Union? And you think they had 'elections'? 🤣
Ok that's the end for me, it's pointless, I give a s*** what you think
