I wonder if the club is deferring decisions on both Franca and JRS.
I note that some weeks ago, when discussing injuries , Glasner said that Franca had a setback and was unable to train and hadn’t really been able to participate in pre season training and there was no proposed return date.
And yet he gets the loan to move to Brazil and is playing straight away.
On JRS there seemed to be a fair amount of interest in him during the summer , but at the end of the day he got a last minute loan.
In my view neither player seems to suit Glasner’s system of play, and it may be that Esse falls into this category as well.
This is not a criticism of Glasner, or necessarily the players either, it’s just an observation that Glasner’s system places a particular set of demands on players which not every player can adapt to.
It may go some way to explaining why Glasner has preferred to use Devenny instead of these players even if it is not Devenny’s position.
Franca, JRS and Esse are all young and this could be Glasner’s last season at the club.
A new manager, with a different system, may believe these players could have a role to play.
The task for Glasner is immediate results this season, but perhaps the club are taking a longer term view of the investment in younger players.
