EZE

I think a lot of people have Rose tinted glasses on when they remember Wilf:

291 Premier league games, 68 Goals 28 assists, Compare Eze's
139 Premier league games, 28 goals 20 assists

Goals and assists per minute, Eze is better on both than Wilf.

He's not tho is he, he averages a goal every 5 games and wilf every 4

Wrong, Wilf cared about Wilf, never tracked back, Me,Me,Me

Just categorically untrue. His defensive stats in the Hodgson years were regularly among the best for attackers in the league and he had to balance that with being our only attacking threat too.

I have criticised him a lot for his behaviour and repeated attempts to engineer an exit but there can be no question mark over his commitment while he was on the pitch and I'm sorry to see his career unravelling as it has in the last two years.

Murray, Bolasie, Cabaye, Puncheon, yes puncheon better assists record than Wilf, are they putting something in the water in the UK

That in a nutshell, is why no top side bought him.
Rubbish.

Arsenal pursued a deal for Zaha throughout the 2019 summer transfer window but they were unable to meet Palace’s valuation for the player - with the club holding out for nothing less than £100m.

Some quotes from then manager Unai Emery ;

'' Zaha won games on his own: Tottenham, Manchester City, us. Incredible performances. I told them: ‘This is the player I know and want.’ ''

'' The club decided Pépé was one for the future. I said: ‘Yes, but we need to win now and this lad wins games.’ He beat us on his own. ''

Apart from he was sir alex last ever signing and he signed for utd, I dont see many clubs lining up to sign eze, yes he's great for us but he's nowhere near good enough for a top club, not that zaha would have either but ability wise he's better than eze. Olise, it was plainly obvious he had far more potential than both and will go on to have a career playing at the top. Zaha wasn't good enough and neither is eze.

It's a matter of being able to produce it consistently - Salah, Drogba, De Bruyne, Aguero - all amazing players who were / are consistent. I recall the game against Arsenal mentioned above, Wilf was out of this world incredible, if he could have performed near to that level week in week out he'd have been off to a top 3 club or Spain. As you mention, Eze, good as he is, isn't that at level, but there's time, who knows, Pirlo matured into a phenomenal player...

Yes, consistency is the key, and Eze's stats show he is more consistent than Wilf, an assist for a winger every 858 minutes is a pathetic return for the talent he had
