The debate about whether he is better than edouard is all well and good But who is going take on Edouard at £84k a week!!
There is no way we should sell Mateta to make space for Nketiah and still have Edouard on the payroll.
Edouard wouldn't even be able to get jobseekers as they wouldn't be convinced that he was willing to work.

If Nketiah comes in with the right attitude and a desire to prove himself then this could work out. He could have sat on Arsenal's bench getting rich and possibly getting a cup or league winner's medal, so his willingness to move without being pushed is one positive sign. If Edouard doesn't go and we sign Nketiah then this would be a very Palace transfer window: lose 5-8 players none of which are a striker. Sign a striker.

Ayew was always classed as a striker on the Palace site's 1st team squad and was granted the cherished no. 9 shirt...I know TL - just saying.
😉

madness going back to same old list from years ago.

Under PV we tried to sign him and wouldn't pay just under 20m yet now they want 35m.

He is injured a fair bit and his goal return etc is nothing special.

Last time he came out and said he is not interested in going to Palace even on loan.

If Tony didn't want such high wages rather pay 35m for him.
I think he could be a very good fit for us. He has never really had a sustained long term run in the Arsenal side but he is always a handful with his pace and knows where the goal is.

If he comes then get rid of Edouard this week. Any price will work for most Palace fans.
Nketiah will be coming in for the same price as Anderson going out.
If Guehi goes up north and Lacroix comes to Palace, along with Nketiah in and Edouard out, then I would count that as good business.

Think another defender would definitely be needed in addition to Lacroix if Guehi leaves.

What stops him from being top striker is his inability to glance up a split second before pulling the trigger and find the space to the side of the keeper. He’s like Benteke in that sense…head down and whack it in the general direction of the goal and hope for the best. This is why so many of his shots find the keeper.

Ian Wright did glance up and place the ball. He was a top striker. You can’t say they’re similar other than they’re both quite small and fast.

Are you having a giraffe, Comparing Benteke to Nketiah is like comparing a lamp post to a greyhound

An interesting article. It sounds like he is a model pro and works hard and is well-liked by his teammates. I think a major asset is some more pace in the team though. With Eze and Wharton's passing ability he could get a lot of chances on the break.
It he does join us, do you see him playing as a two with Mateta, taking the Olise role, replacing Mateta or a back up?
