Ashes cricket

In the 2002/2003 Ashes England played 4 warm up matches, 3 in Perth and 1 in Brisbane. We lost against a very strong Australian side, but we played well particularly Michael Vaughan, who was player of the series. That's how to lose.

Expecting the other team to collapse or having random results due to poor pitches is not going to be a sustainable approach.
Like I said, we only won this one because we didn’t need to get 300/400 runs in an innings which we know has been a problem for a long time, especially down under, but we’ll take it

The West Indies made it an art form.
Really? I thought they did fine away from home too. Although they're rubbish if you think about them these days. However, didn't they draw a series against England recently. I watched the matches. Highly unimpressive like much of the last couple of years.
A defining moment for me was Brook whacking the ball on 90odd to get caught easily and England losing with Siraj wiping out tail enders. The writing was on the wall for bazball in that moment only everyone failed to see it. Blinded by all that glisters.
