Palace potentially denied entry to Europa League?

I understand your sentiment but as the consensus is that our chances with the CAS are pretty slim, principally because we were warned by both UEFA and the PL about the changes but did nothing so consequently we are technically in the wrong and also apparently Parish made a faux pas when he went to Switzerland I think if we do appeal we will be flogging the proverbial dead horse. No, it's not fair but as underdogs we don't have the muscle to challenge the decision, isn't it best to take the 'punishment' and move on? The Conference is better than no Europe at all. Defeatist? Yes but we are technically at least in the wrong.
I wish it were different but ,Palace did not meet Uefa,s rules on joint ownership. We will almost certainly have to suck it up. The fact that the rules stink, and are actually a corruption of the real intention of the original rules designed to appease the all powerful outfits in the game is no help to us.
Apart from not meeting a date we could not seriously have been expected to meet the club has done nothing any of those given excuses to compete have done and continue to do. It’s an injustice , it’s a pity the powers that be can’t see it , but as said by others we should move on.We have four competitions to take any bile out on, let’s do it.

...because the (domestic) appeal succeeded so it was never a problem.
Well, it became a non problem after appeal. So it was a problem.

Our 'problem' never existed because John Textor never had any say in the running of the club.
Had UEFA accepted that, it would also never have been a problem.

CAS will have to disagree with the original decision using the same facts for us to be reinstated.

But is it though ? A competition with no pedigree and no kudos for winning. Endless games against teams nobody has ever heard of or wants to. Whilst diverting our resources away from the league and the domestic cups. I am starting to think we might be better saying thanks but no thanks to the Conference.

No. That was what UEFA decided. The club disagrees.

Typically, what usually follows is a number of fans trying to look clever by claiming that UEFA were right.

I'd rather not be in it, but if we are in it, then we must try to win it.

It is right, both those clubs have argued the deadline is invalid and CAS have thrown them out, so unless we have something extra ordinary as evidence which apparently we can’t have otherwise uefa wouldn’t have taken this action in the first place, we’re heading the same way
The financial expert I listen too says it’s laughable that we’re trying to say that Texter had no controlling influence when he had 45% shares in a club, of course he had influence, his money of which we needed and used is influence.
We missed a deadline, it happened, I have no ill feelings to anyone over it, I wouldn’t want to run a Sunday league team let alone a premier league club. So let’s get over it and enjoy the conference
thinking your confusing financial influence with controlling decision making influence ,
he semi trusted parish todo the right thing with his money , which he did ,
he didnt tell parish how to run the club , he was there to help the club grow by investing , just like getting a loan ,
so the financial expert is a idiot who doesn't understand how our club is run , he is going by whats in the book not real life , like most experts

forgot to add hows 45% of 100% controlling influence , maths tells me you need over 50%

Already put us in it

Disgusting. We're actually int he same f***ing competition as Cliftonville, Haverfordwest and Penybont.

Those cheats Forest STOLEN our place, I'm incensed by this, f***ing Forest who cheated to get into our division and now cheated here. Genuinely hope that fat c***'s heart gives out before he sees those cheats kick a ball.

Yes, we've never been in Europe before and may never be again. I don't want to be in this competition but, if we have to be, then let's embrace it, get pissed up in Macedonia and try to add another trophy.

Apologies if posted already....

UEFA have officially added Forest to the Europa League team list for next season....

Obviously confident CAS will tell us to jog on.......

Load of ol' poo all this innit.......

Just my thoughts and notes... please correct me if i'm wrong...

for 25-2026 Europa (and ManU and Spurs last year), Aston Villa and Forest get a bye to the League Phase.

for 25-2026 Conference, Palace has to qualify at end of August 2025 in a 2-leg, to then get to the League Phase. Like, last August, Chelsea had to beat some Swiss team Servette.

If it was decided to play in this Conference thing, then Palace should only accept an auto-qualified placement to the League Phase. Cuz F that. Otherwise CP's gotta F around over in freakin Bulgaria or Azerbaijan or something in laye August? And even if this bye is given, probably best not to play in this Conference thing, cuz it's BS and corrupt and insulting. Unless we get a cut or all of whatever Forest is making at Palace's expense.

Also, these were recent opponents for Europa and Conference teams [down below]... what is everyones' thoughts on the quality of opponents in each tourney? Is this slate of opponents worth the effort? The 2026 Conference would have 6 different opponents like last season.

Again, there's nothing wrong with Palace not accepting this Conference invitation. Here in the US, major college basketball teams that get snubbed for the major NCAA tournament will often not accept an invitation to the lesser s*** tourneys. No one in the UEFA admin is going to credit Palace at a later date for being the good guys here.

West Ham appeared pretty pleased to win it a couple of years back, its a difficult one though.
My honest opinion is football is missing out. Pretty sure most supporters of clubs in the Europa Cup would love to see the likes of Eze Wharton Munoz Mateta Guhei rather than what they will get.

There are no byes into the Conference League. The teams from the top five leagues e.g. Fiorentina all have to go through a play-off process with the rest having earlier played in the qualifying rounds of either the Europa(where they will have been eliminated) or Conference
'Some Swiss team Servette' are in the second qualifying round of the Champions League as they finished 2nd in the Swiss League. They may end up in the Conference League again
