Palace potentially denied entry to Europa League?

Textor owns just 51% of Eagle Football holdings. Eagle Football holdings did own 43% of Palace's shares and had 25% voting rights.
This basically means (in the event that Eagle Football's directors disagreed with him) he only really controlled around 22% of Palace's shares and only really had 12.5% voting rights.
This is being pedantic I know as if you own 51% of a company you still really maintain control. But... This could still be presented to CAS in a demonstration of how ridiculous UEFA are being.
I reckon decent Counsel could drive a bus through the flaws in UEFA’s rules and regulations and their implementation of same, but whether this sort of level of legal representation is allowed at CAS I’m not sure. I hope it is and we do.

My stance is that we're getting European football so happy days. Does that mean I don't want us to appeal? Does it mean I don't feel robbed? Does it mean that I prefer this outcome? Well, funnily enough people seem to have inferred those things from my previous posts, but all I mean is that the minimum now is more palatable (for me) than I feared. I do respect those that think it's such an inferior tournament that it becomes a dangerous distraction from our league season, but for me it's still quite exciting.
It would be exciting if that's what we'd have originally got. I'd have been ecstatic with Conf Leag. But you've got to be honest it is a huge downgrade from Europa League and now to me just feels disappointing and I'm nowhere near as excited for Europe as I should be.

And I didn’t appreciate Jim White’s remarks about the protest march. I can just see White and Jordan off air talking about ‘peasants with pitch forks outside the Palace gates’!

Jordan seemed initially supportive but the mask has slipped and now his hatred of Parish is seeping through.

I always liked SJ and think he's good on air but the anti-Parish grudge is pathetic. When SJ was in charge he made enemies all over the place and our descent into near financial ruin, again, was down to him.

Parish has been the best owner in our history and it's just jealousy at this point.

He's bitter because he feels he missed the PL gravy train by a couple of years, in truth he's just a poor man's Alan Sugar 🤣

Don't disagree with any of that, or anyone else that's said it, but I am choosing that my glass is half full so to speak.

Fair enough if true.

Surprised though as we go straight in to the League format if we are in the EL whereas Villa have to qualify.
No, we are the only English team in any UEFA competition, that has to qualify. In my opinion, it is the biggest disadvantage of the Europa conference league and it would be typical Palace for us not to qualify!

Thats not right. We have a better case than those other clubs whose families run both clubs by the way but I do see what you are saying. Its not a certainty that CAS will rule in our favour.
Though I still believe they will
It is right, both those clubs have argued the deadline is invalid and CAS have thrown them out, so unless we have something extra ordinary as evidence which apparently we can’t have otherwise uefa wouldn’t have taken this action in the first place, we’re heading the same way
The financial expert I listen too says it’s laughable that we’re trying to say that Texter had no controlling influence when he had 45% shares in a club, of course he had influence, his money of which we needed and used is influence.
We missed a deadline, it happened, I have no ill feelings to anyone over it, I wouldn’t want to run a Sunday league team let alone a premier league club. So let’s get over it and enjoy the conference

Not quite the worst.
1. Glasner gets the hump and leaves.
2. Eze, Guehi, Munoz & Mateta are sold.
3. The squad is knackered from travelling/playing in a third tier European competition.
4. Johnson turns out to be worse than Textor.

5. The Hol server goes into a terminal crash whilst the Webmaster is on a 3 week paddle boarding holiday in a remote location with no internet access.......

No I completely disagree. This is what UEFA want us to do. I think we should make as much noise over this as possible while making it clear any of the 'big boys' getting into Europe in the future that have broken even the minutest rule and we'll sue.
UEFA need to be made aware that little old Crystal Palace aint going to be pushed around without a fight.
If you dont stand up to them they wont think twice about treating us like dirt in the future.
I understand your sentiment but as the consensus is that our chances with the CAS are pretty slim, principally because we were warned by both UEFA and the PL about the changes but did nothing so consequently we are technically in the wrong and also apparently Parish made a faux pas when he went to Switzerland I think if we do appeal we will be flogging the proverbial dead horse. No, it's not fair but as underdogs we don't have the muscle to challenge the decision, isn't it best to take the 'punishment' and move on? The Conference is better than no Europe at all. Defeatist? Yes but we are technically at least in the wrong.

That is a matter of opinion and would be the basis of our appeal.

In any case, Lyon were allowed to retrospectively fix their problems, so why weren't we?
