Escalate? How are they going to do that? Get the T34 back into service? They're already borrowing troops from PRK and running rampant inflation. The only reason they are doing as well as they are is because Ukraine had an arm tied behind it's back and things like 155mm shell production wasn't keeping up. Even Russia begged PRK for ammo this year.

If Trump wants his Nobel prize he's going to have to work harder. "Within a week", what gullible maga twats believe that? 🤣

The Germans developed the chemical weapons but did not have a chance to use them. They were also developing nuclear weapons to use them. There was a race to make one.

The answer to your point is within your post. The Americans used Nukes because nobody else had them. It would not happen in the time of MAD.

Putin isn't mad. He's a shitcunt dictator but smart. You just think he's mad? Nobody is invading his territory to get him out, you think he's going to destroy the planet because he's pushed out of Ukraine do you?

Your assertion that Hitler wanted to use chemical weapons but they hadn't managed to make them in time is utter nonsense. Do you think it was hard to make chlorine or mustard gas shells? Like the ones that Germany actually used decades before 🤷. They could make things like Zyklon B and chemicals for rocket propulsion, and develop heavy water, but not chlorine gas....🤦

Russian missile tech is very good and their aircraft grouping has had three years of a real war to learn. Their artillery....which is always the biggest killer on the battlefield outnumber Ukraine at least three to one.

While I obviously don't support getting involved at all and regard Trump ending this war as the most sensible pathway....probably sometime in the summer.....If we do get involved with Russia we....and by we I mean Europe need at least three years of military build up....We don't have the ammo supplies for a start nor any nationalistic ideology in our youth.

Old men don't win wars....but they usually end up starting them.

Russia isn't filled with social liberals, indeed Putin is a moderate compared to most in the Kremlin.

I grew up in the first cold war and I really don't like this attitude.....at least the politicians of that period took the risks seriously.

The problem with saying it isn't going to happen is that you don't get any consequences for being wrong do you.....because we are all fecking dead.

It could even happen as a sodding accident, in fact this nearly did happen.....Having nukes pointed at each other is something that needs to end asap.

I have Russia's cheap energy bringing down our bills....I don't want its nukes.

Almost, they used them because Russia was turning attention to Japan and offering terms, and Japan was listening. The USA needed a quick end and also to show Stalin what they had, plus the means to deliver them.
