The January 2025 Window

We need players gone not loans out which there is a limit to how many you can loan out.

I still dont see the point is of having that Turner on loan it's a wasted spot.
 
Well here we are one week into the transfer window , still no concrete offers on the table for new players coming in or going out while the teams around us are picking up good players , a lot of Palace put a bid in for X Y an Z but nothin official from the club . so much for Glasner wanting players at the beginning of the window . We know how long it take Palace to get a transfer over the line . I reckon it will be the same ol story at the end of the window from Parish . we tried our best but unfortunately ran out of time .
 
Perhaps the Board should consider inviting one or two fans to join the ‘Transfer Committee’. They could then come out of any negotiations with updates to us all about the status of any ongoing negotiations with potential Players, their Clubs or Agents.
I’m sure there are folks on here who’d be happy to accept such a role ?

Not a bad idea , but to have a transfer committee there would have to be transfers . Maybe you could put yourself forward seen as you came up with the idea .

We have made concrete offers for El Hadji Malick Diouf, Andy Diouf, Ben Doak and Romain Esse (not just rumours but genuine offers), plus we're apparently ready to pay £20 million for Jobe Bellingham. Yes, all of which have been rejected apart from Esse but you can't claim that the board isn't at least attempting to invest.

Also, "nothing official coming from the club" means nothing. Clubs will literally never, EVER disclose on social media accounts etc that they've made a bid for someone because it attracts competition.

PLUS if you look at the window so far, it's objectively been extremely slow. The only "big" signing made by a top six club I can think of is Antonin Kinsky to Spurs.

YES, this summer was a disaster and that was partly down to Parish. NO, we can't just shill the same "iT's aLl pArIsHe'S fAuLt" when we're only seven days into the flipping window.

News stories is all you will get at this stage though. The club aren’t going to give a running commentary on transfer offers. One it would be silly and tip off other bidders. Two it may well breach UEFA transfer rules. We’ve seen most of these offers covered by sensible journalists like Ed Aarons who are close to the club, reliable and have well sourced information. I’m not sure what else you would be looking for.

Aww , thanks mate . Not trying to be picky but Ed Arrons has been know to get enough wrong in his time also , but is probably one of the more in the know journalists. You know what they say . Belive half of what you see and none of what you read .Or something along those lines .
 
Click bait is something we have to live with. Information from the Club is something to be appreciated.

I suspect that Holding is a target for someone. Certainly his relationship with OG is something that needs to be restored, whether return to favour, loan, or transfer. The message is that OG has control over who plays fir the first team.

What would be nice, will be all players appearing on the team list to give us more information. We have Matt Turner and Trevoh Chalobah showing as "in on loan" Would be nice to see all loaned players, both in or out so we, as supporters, have a fuller picture of who is developing their career. .
 
Glasner said himself that we have 2 transfer targets and that we hope to conclude deals for the targets.

Not everything has to be dismissed as 'clickbait,' even if it's acknowledged that agents plant stories and on occasions clubs employ smokescreens to disguise intentions.

One of the targets is said to be a LWB and a number of sources has suggested that Diouf is of interest.
That doesn't sound unreasonable, even if for some reason we don't sign him.
The other player said to be of interest is a young attacking player.
As we haven't replaced Olise that doesn't sound unreasonable either.

I feel fairly confident we'll make a couple of signings.
 
OG has definitely said the 2 transfers are locked in and it upto the board to get the players over the line im hoping there here by the time we play leicester in the league so lets see what happens
