The bbc, again.

On BBC News 6 o’ clock news just now they’ve shown a few seconds, yes, a few seconds of the Trump-Harris debate, claiming that Harris was calm or something and Trump was angry and agitated or something. Untrue and not even apparent in the few seconds they’ve used as an example.

Shameful the way they’re trying to use Trump’s comments that Haitian immigrants are eating cats to try and ridicule him seeing as there are social media videos showing exactly that. Immigrants are always innocent good guys without any clashing cultures so it can’t possibly be true.
Your first mistake was turning on the 6 o clock news

Heartbreaking letter. Interesting comment about friends in the media. I seem to remember a smear campaign against the parents. Let’s wait to see what sentence he gets.

Suspended sentence for the luvvie no doubt. Notice we have Alex Williams sending paedo photos of kids all around him - suspended sentence.
We then have a guy who shared memes of illegal refugees and Asians having done prison time. Amongst countless other examples.

The BBC apparently had some academic from a London university on either the news or Newsnight. This person said that Hamas, Hezbollah and Iran have been playing within the rules and Israel haven’t. Terrorists now play by the rules do they? Extraordinary shyte on the BBC. Shouldn’t be surprised.

So, show us those videos, ED.

The women who started the rumour has rescinded her story, the mayor of the town says he's received no such reports. It's been debunked. So show this video, if you will.

There were a couple of videos going around. They were since restricted or deleted. I'd say about half the world have seen them. I presume they're still somewhere.
However, on balance, couldn't exactly say which town they were in or the exact nationality of the culprits. They were not very nice watching - I didn't watch until the end. Maybe a town sign and passport are at the end but I presume not.

On the evidence of a so-called interview that Johnson did on the Today programme last year (I think) her planned interview would have been a tedious waste of time. On that earlier occasion he might as well have said to Nick Robinson right at the start, "Look Nick, I'd better tell you that I'm not going to answer any of your questions but I'm very happy to talk for fifteen minutes." Which is exactly what happened. At the end Robinson said "Thank you for allowing me to be interviewed by you." Not very witty or even appropriate, but an indication of his frustration.

I hope you don't mind me writing this, AS (and Mr Hedman) but this reply just seems so sketchy. "There were a couple of videos going around" is just so flimsy. Then you tell us that "Half the world would have seen it". Yet, if that is so, it wouldn't be so highly contested. Now it appears to have disappeared. Convenient, some might say.

Again, I hope you don't mind me pointing out, but given this basis, it seems that there are many out there (dare I say you included) who are quite happy to accept this rumour, on no evidence that we can see, because it suits your mind-set and a political agenda. So, in effect, you are prepared to accept this tale without any appreciable evidence, but are then quick to castigate the BBC on the veracity of their reporting.

One thing is for sure: the Trump camp will continue to flog this horse for their purposes. Indeed, Trump himself has repeated it since.
Perhaps Mr Hedman could provide us with the aforementioned video?

Took this from the TfL weekly travel email, if anybody's interested, it's tomorrow(fri)

Central London

From 14:00, a static demonstration will take place outside BBC Broadcasting House on Portland Place. Large crowds are expected.

Now, i wonder what that'll be about . . .

i suspect there is more to this story.

Seems a strange mistake to make - meant to send it to your team (so more than one person) and instead send it to the interviewee.

Why would you even have the interviewees email?

Maybe she just got caught out.

Whatever, it's massively unprofessional. BBC are having to change their schedule as a result

The BBC not being antisemitic enough?

Reinstall Huw Edwards?

Make Philip Schofield Director General?

No transsexuals reading the news?

News not read in Arabic or with Arabic subtitles?

All of the above?

It can seem as sketchy as you like. It was posted on here for a start. I don't blindly accept anything. It doesn't suit any particular agenda of mine as such. I'm not going to trawl the internet looking for videos to suit anyone. I don't even want to see them again. I'm not even on Twitter or any social media - yet I've still seen the videos. I'm not going to disbelieve something I saw with my own eyes. The videos I saw were real. I wish I could unwatch them somehow. Frankly, I don't even advise looking for them as you could easily feel sick. If you like animals definitely don't watch them.
There are plenty of cultures that eat what we see as pets or as working animals etc. It's really not that hard to believe when you see it. Trump was likely exaggerating somewhat, it's what he's like. But I presume he saw the videos too - as I said, much like everyone else. It's pretty hard to then convince people otherwise when they've seen it. It's the kind of thing described as gaslighting.
More like, instead of my agenda, is it that hard to think that it's "debunked" (however that was supposed to be true - I saw the reports) due to an agenda? Like not wanting to stir racial tensions, for example?
It's the same argument with no less validity.
