The BBC has an agenda and is funded by licence payers. They can be as biased as they want if they are a commercial operation.I get as frustrated with the BBC as the next person, particularly about left-wing bias and what opinions are acceptable to them. However, I still absolutely maintain that the BBC is the best source of news and information we have, and I genuinely believe that they are striving for balance and objectivity, even if they sometimes miss the mark. Also conscious that people of a more left-wing persuasion will sometimes accuse them of right-wing bias. However critical of them I am, I would far rather people turn to the BBC than a Twitter / X echo chamber for their news.
So about 5 incidences a day.A report has identified 1,553 instances, since 7 October 2023, where the BBC violated its own editorial guidelines on impartiality, accuracy, editorial values and public interest on the Israel conflict.

The BBC bias is subjective, some are happy with them, many are not.
The biggest form of misinformation is not reporting the news. The BBC is still the world biggest news outlet - would that be correct?
We all rely on it for news - even naysayers like me.
However, and yet again, while prisoners are released - and some of them really shouldn't be - and all the scenes outside prisons etc - the BBC has nothing on its website unless you dig really deep and even then it is a minor and old report.
Same with the small boats - no good looking there - 8,746 from the 5th July to 7th September is the number - had that been under the Tories it would have been front page day after day.
They support Labour by not reporting and therefore pretending that bad things aren't happening.
A mate of mine in Oz was astounded when I gave him a few facts he didn't know and all because he believes the BBC - not any more he doesn't!
They are so left biased it is embarrassing as well as unacceptable.
Says a "report" published by a right wing newspaper with an axe to grind and a financial interest in undermining the BBC.So about 5 incidences a day.
The biggest form of misinformation is believing that what you believe is news is actually more important than that which professional editors believe is newsworthy. The biggest form of misinformation is not reporting the news.
All this does is blow a huge hole in the argument that the BBC is left leaning.
If they report bad news under a Tory government but don’t report the same bad news under a labour government then I’d say that qualifies as bias. Your excuse is a waffling excuse avoiding what he posted. The biggest form of misinformation is believing that what you believe is news is actually more important than that which professional editors believe is newsworthy.
What matters to you might be important to you, but that does not mean it deserves to be put in front of others.
There is enough diversity in the media to make sure that you can find all the information you want, presented from a variety of perspectives.
The BBC make their judgements objectively, based on their obligations. Just not your judgements.
He also makes the following statement 'There is enough diversity in the media to make sure that you can find all the information you want, presented from a variety of perspectives', whereas anything reported in the right wing media is immediately refuted or ignored by him claiming it is biased. If they report bad news under a Tory government but don’t report the same bad news under a labour government then I’d say that qualifies as bias. Perhaps simply to educate us on how much fruit and vegetables we should eat.So about 5 incidences a day.
