The bbc, again.

I get as frustrated with the BBC as the next person, particularly about left-wing bias and what opinions are acceptable to them. However, I still absolutely maintain that the BBC is the best source of news and information we have, and I genuinely believe that they are striving for balance and objectivity, even if they sometimes miss the mark. Also conscious that people of a more left-wing persuasion will sometimes accuse them of right-wing bias. However critical of them I am, I would far rather people turn to the BBC than a Twitter / X echo chamber for their news.

The BBC has an agenda and is funded by licence payers. They can be as biased as they want if they are a commercial operation.

The BBC bias is subjective, some are happy with them, many are not.

It’s the lying over a political choice that I can’t stand. Nurses and doctors no doubt deserve quite a large increase, especially if we’re to one day make it a tempting vocation for young brits again. Train drivers less so, but the morally superior laptop class might see through the lies one day.

A report has identified 1,553 instances, since 7 October 2023, where the BBC violated its own editorial guidelines on impartiality, accuracy, editorial values and public interest on the Israel conflict.

them being biased would be in contravention of their legal Charter. How would you like to contract a surgeon , to , say, remove a burst appendix, and the fecker didnt bother to wash his hands ? just after playing goalkeeper in a park where the dogs do their business.

the BBC are unprofessional. Do that in any other line of work and Airplanes fall out of the sky.

The BBC is still the world biggest news outlet - would that be correct?
We all rely on it for news - even naysayers like me.
However, and yet again, while prisoners are released - and some of them really shouldn't be - and all the scenes outside prisons etc - the BBC has nothing on its website unless you dig really deep and even then it is a minor and old report.
Same with the small boats - no good looking there - 8,746 from the 5th July to 7th September is the number - had that been under the Tories it would have been front page day after day.
They support Labour by not reporting and therefore pretending that bad things aren't happening.
A mate of mine in Oz was astounded when I gave him a few facts he didn't know and all because he believes the BBC - not any more he doesn't!
They are so left biased it is embarrassing as well as unacceptable.

The biggest form of misinformation is not reporting the news.

The biggest form of misinformation is not reporting the news.
The biggest form of misinformation is believing that what you believe is news is actually more important than that which professional editors believe is newsworthy.

What matters to you might be important to you, but that does not mean it deserves to be put in front of others.

There is enough diversity in the media to make sure that you can find all the information you want, presented from a variety of perspectives.

The BBC make their judgements objectively, based on their obligations. Just not your judgements.

All this does is blow a huge hole in the argument that the BBC is left leaning.

They will criticise and analyse the policies of government, whoever holds power.

With the Tories so weak this is particularly important at the moment.

That taxes would rise was always the case, whoever won the last election. That whoever won will get the blame is just as inevitable. Trying to shift the blame might help a little, but the real cause isn't political at all. It's the events of the last 5 years.

If they report bad news under a Tory government but don’t report the same bad news under a labour government then I’d say that qualifies as bias. Your excuse is a waffling excuse avoiding what he posted.

He also makes the following statement 'There is enough diversity in the media to make sure that you can find all the information you want, presented from a variety of perspectives', whereas anything reported in the right wing media is immediately refuted or ignored by him claiming it is biased.

On BBC News 6 o’ clock news just now they’ve shown a few seconds, yes, a few seconds of the Trump-Harris debate, claiming that Harris was calm or something and Trump was angry and agitated or something. Untrue and not even apparent in the few seconds they’ve used as an example.

Shameful the way they’re trying to use Trump’s comments that Haitian immigrants are eating cats to try and ridicule him seeing as there are social media videos showing exactly that. Immigrants are always innocent good guys without any clashing cultures so it can’t possibly be true.
