Sentences too harsh!

good point. We white British are made up of part Viking (Danish, Norwegian etc), Central European following the Roman invasions, Irish and French etc so let's face it there isn't that much pure British in us!

Personally i have some Polish in me as a grandmother i never met was born there. I feel 100% British.

The DNA of these isles is the most studied in the world.

We are northern Europeans, by far the largest inputs are Scandinavian and Germanic....neither the Romans nor the French (Normans) left much DNA foot print in these isles. We are certainly.....not slavs but hey, no one's perfect.

It’s the fact that you cannot extrapolate anything from what is today and reach any kind of conclusion on what will be tomorrow.
Except when you can obviously.
The actual fact that matters is what the subject of the comment was.

In some circumstances extrapolation is possible. In others it isn’t. Generalisations are therefore meaningless.

Even The Guardian have reported that on current trends (maths) we’ll be a minority by 2050 or whenever it is.
No doubt they did. Because mathematically it is probably true.

No doubt they also pointed out that those current trends are no guide at all to what will be.

Things like this are not pickled in aspic and set for all time.

I have no doubt that we won’t look the same in 50 years, but we don’t look the same now as we did 50 years ago. Exactly the same ideas were around then.

Change happens. Right now there are massive global shifts underway, but so long as we treasure, protect and teach our culture there is nothing to fear from it.

Erecting barriers, and accepting divisions, that some do here is the best way to bring about the result that is feared. You are your own worst enemies.

Whoever replied about climate change, when the subject was the Great Replacement Theory.
When you state that you 'cannot extrapolate anything' then that can only be construed as meaning any topic and not specific to the thread (as all threads generally bring in other subjects). Therefore the generalization was yours, which is why I made the point about climate change, to see whether you believed what you were writing or not.

No I know, we didn’t have white flight in 1974 like we do today. Enclaves, see! We also didn’t have mass immigration increasing year on year with the younger generation trying to distance themselves as much as possible. The more this goes on the bigger the distance between the newer immigrants and the British, but I suppose it doesn’t matter if we’re going to be outnumbered soon and just be a mix of every third world culture and not our own.

‘As long as we treasure, protect and teach our culture there is nothing to fear from it’. You seriously do have your head in the sand or up your &rse. Not only is it being eroded by your very own chums, it gets vandalised by groups of youths who are 2nd to 3rd generation immigrants and one of them tries to set fire to the union flag, they get let off.

Says the man who runs off to Truro.

I didn’t “run off” to Truro! I retired in Cornwall, somewhere I have always loved and have connections, having spent the previous years in Norfolk and the Fens. I left the London area 60 years ago.

That you made that assumption was your mistake. Which I quickly correcte.

My comment was very clearly in the context of the discussion and not directed at anything else.

East London isn’t typical of the whole either.

Those who stand close to things tend to only see small parts. You need to step back to see the whole.
Must be why the opinions on the NHS of those who don't work for it or on life in Cornwall from those who don't live there are more valid of those who do.

Been to Croydon or through Croydon recently? Ever?
Earlier this year I paid a visit to my parents grave in Croydon cemetery, passing by Selhurst too and the house I spent my childhood in. Went to Beddington Church where I was a choirboy and server, was allowed into the vestry too. I don’t go very often, but I don’t go to any big cities if I can avoid them.
