Palace potentially denied entry to Europa League?

If the March 1 compliance was enforced, then we would be out already.

Given that we aren't, I can only assume we have been given time to get our house in order.
It was reported that Parish had spoken to UEFA about what the situation was.

Since Textor has now departed. I don't see why UEFA would legitimately rule against us.
It will be very fishy if they do.

Oh it gets better, French TV pulled the deal on their French league and now it won’t be as watchable with Lyon being in League 2, hence why they want to reinstate them. They are waiting on Textors money and of course to hell with everything else….

Last night I looked into the company taking the management of Lyon over. ARES Capital - they have several arms. They seem to be Textor's main financiers. They're billions in lending and holdings. 10s of billions. They're invested in some French and European sports including the French sailing team. I couldn't see if they finance UEFA but the thought crossed my mind.

Always hoped that it was all about giving us time to appear to comply. Now not so sure , their failure to give a decision , and indicate any decision depends on Lyon,s end situation has left me wondering if we ever had a case they would accept. Hope I’m wrong.

UEFA has no jurisdiction over Lyon's appeal. It is independent.
That presumably means that UEFA are off the hook if Lyon lose and cannot play in Europe.

On the flip side, they could have announced we were out by now...

Sky reporting that the most likely scenario is that Forest take our place in the Europa and we drop into the European Conference.
This is based on Lyon winning their appeal.
The whole system is rotten, but I'm reminded of the Groucho Marx quote,
'I don't want to be a member of any club that would have me as a member.'

So presumably that would result in Brondby making way for us? Shall we go on their forums and see if they are flapping in foreign?

I see no justification for that.
If I were Parish, I would go to court.

Neither competition has big prize money, but it's more about status and attracting and retaining players.

I see there are "claims" that players and fans of Brazilian team Botafogo are up in arms, says a report on the BBC, that their coach has been sacked by owner John Textor (yes, it is he) for not allowing him, Textor, to interfere in team selection.

Funny or tragic it just shows what a nasty piece of work he is. We'll done Steve Parish for cutting him from ANY decision making. That's what come from having a lifelong Palace fan as Chairman. Oh and Steve, sue incompetent EUFA for zillions

P.S. I bet Everton and Moyes are bloody relieved!!!

If that were the case - it basically means you get rewarded more for failure than winning something..!!

There would be uproar and litigation all over the shop..!!

Surely UEFA as corrupt as it is wouldn’t risk that..!!

Think we’ll be in Europa and think we already know it..!!

It’s if Lyon, are let off the hook by the French, league that worries. If that happens unless UEFA are considering our case on the basis that our ownership didn’t break their rules, they could have left Lyon, out of it . The fact that they didn’t is if not a worry, something to chew on. Could be they hope to head off litigation, if so I get the feeling any litigation from us should be their biggest fear.

Not sure where sky get their “information” from.

Brondby owned by Blitzer are in the conference and were sixth in the league ? Sound at all familiar ? Using the current logic Brondby would take preference over us.

BBC reporting that Palace have enough and will take legal action….hopefully in a real court none of this arbitration rubbish….that would tie UEFA up in knots for months.
