Correct..!!That is not the same as having 'significant influence' which Textor has at Lyon, but, not at Palace.

That may be so, but does it follow that 30% shares equates to 30% influence in the board room? Whatever the legalities might be at Palace, it’s pretty clear that Parish, can not easily be pushed out , he is after all outnumbered 3 to 1 this would indicate shares are shares, influence is whatever has been legally agreed .Uefa rules state anyone holding over 30% is classed as a significant share holder.
I don’t look at “ like this “ at all as you would be well aware if you have read any of my posts on this subject. You got to look at it like this - Parish messed up big time, by not getting this sorted before the March deadline
SP loves all the plaudits when things go well - but he’s very well paid for what he does and basically he dropped the ball on this one and messed up big time..!!
That said Textor has no influence over the running Palace - hence his frustration and desire to sell his shares.
Meantime Lyon - a club that Textor does run are still under investigation for financial mis-management by UEFA with a threat of relegation hanging over their heads.
Meantime Forest see an opportunity and are desperate to muddy the waters further - despite being in a multi club ownership scenario. Only difference is they utilised the loophole in March..!!
So question is are we multi ownership club - well the criteria for that - is influence in the running of the club, sharing resources, preferential rates on transfers da de dah.
The answer to all of that is no - like it or not SP calls the shots - and much to his annoyance Textor has little or no say..!! As has been said many times he has the dearest season ticket at Selhurst Park.
To me this is something whipped up by the press at a time not an awful lot else going on and others jumping on the bandwagon.
At worst we’ve been remiss (down to SP incompetence) but despite that we are not in a multi club ownership club - it’s that simple..!!
If you think we are show proof of where and how we share resources with Lyon and Brondby - we simply don’t.
So in summary UEFA put up or shut up..!!

Parish has no power to force Textor to do anything with his shares so I have no idea what you are talking about. That said, in what way has Parish 'messed up big time'?You got to look at it like this - Parish messed up big time, by not getting this sorted before the March deadline

Its still one rule we fail under uefa's multi club ownership. This is the grey area that the club was hoping would help our case but I've yet to see what uefa class as having significant influence, they could quite easily class 25% of a voting right as significant influence. That is not the same as having 'significant influence' which Textor has at Lyon, but, not at Palace.
Anyone else here spent some time looking at photos of Cheryl Baker whilst pretending to have a bath when they were younger? On a lighter note, the situation reminds me of one of the UK's finest victories in Eurovision.
I saw them live at Butlins. At a guess, Bognor but could have been Clacton.Anyone else here spent some time looking at photos of Cheryl Baker whilst pretending to have a bath when they were younger?
I remember her dress in the land of make believe 😎Anyone else here spent some time looking at photos of Cheryl Baker whilst pretending to have a bath when they were younger?
Yes we were given our form and the fixtures we had remaining..!!I don’t look at “ like this “ at all as you would be well aware if you have read any of my posts on this subject.
So let’s put you in Parish’s shoes… we’ve just won a 4th round FA Cup tie , it’s February and we are not close to qualifying for Europe via the League . What action are you going to take ?
That’s not offering a solution or answering the question .Yes we were given our form and the fixtures we had remaining..!!
Beyond that - SP, has repeatedly said he wants to take us to the next level and into Europe..!! So that in mind he was either selling us a “pipe dream” that he thought would never happen and he was happy to keep up his unsubstantiated rhetoric - and us to be mid-table mediocrity every season..!!
Or this came and bit him on his proverbial a@s - and due to poor strategical planning on his part - we now find ourselves in this position.
I deal with risk and unlikely outcomes every day of my life - if I were Blitzer and Harris I’d certainly be questioning SP’s strategic on his planning..!!
Forest did it why didn’t we..??

Heard Forest didn't do it by the deadline either. April sometime apparently.Yes we were given our form and the fixtures we had remaining..!!

The way the rule is constructed is somewhat confusing.Heard Forest didn't do it by the deadline either. April sometime apparently.
that list was the FA Cup Final.
Then The Beer Festival came into being, and that was normally held on FA Cup Final Day (with the proviso: If Palace are not involved.)
The fat bloke with no influence is only doing whats best for Forest who have found themselves in Limbo just as much as us .The fault here is with EUFA whos rules are all over the place legally ."Nottingham Forest have asked Uefa for clarity after expressing their concerns over Crystal Palace's Europa League place." (BBC website)
Forest could have just done nothing, and wait for UEFA's judgement and statement, like everyone else.
Their owner is a dobbing sheite-stirrer and should keep his fat nose out.
It would make more sense to swap us with Brondby. The fat bloke with no influence is only doing whats best for Forest who have found themselves in Limbo just as much as us .The fault here is with EUFA whos rules are all over the place legally .
For me though if we were to be chucked out ,I still think we will be ok , the place is lost and Forest stay in the conference . All this moving about competitions just opens the door to the courts and drawn out litigation
Surely, the only way to satisfy the UEFA requirements was to get Textor to put his shares into a blind trust.I think saying 'we'd just beaten Doncaster, or 12th in the league, or just played Millwall, why would anyone think it means we'd qualify for Europe and sort out the shares issue' is missing the point entirely.
There was clearly a desire to try and win the FA Cup, for many obvious reasons, one of them being the European qualification.
If, as an organisation, you have a stated goal (such as european qualification), then you perform due diligence on what you need in order to be successful. This is basic project management at any organisation. No one who wants to keep their job goes at it half-arsed with the caveat 'it probably won't happen'.
This appears to be what happened though. Or some boardroom nonsense that hasn't been revealed.
Either way, poor show.
