As far as I am concerned Palace have not broken any rules and therefore are not guilty of failing to foresee this problem because they have done nothing wrong.
If UEFA announce their findings that Palace have no case to answer and can go ahead and compete in the Europa league that will be proof that all along Palace had done nothing wrong.

One thing we'll never be is mates so drop that one. Sorry to disappoint as I'm sure they are thin on the ground as far as you are concerned. I personally could never stop working (will do so till I drop) never mind be so lazy as to 'retire at 44' And you're proud of that? Says far more about you that it does me. Especially when you say it in some kind of boast.
There is a saying that persisting with the same method repeatedly but expecting a different outcome is insanity. So this is where I stop applying common sense when debating with a bigoted moron that refuses to accept he is wrong. I imagine you plug your fingers in your ears shouting LALALA when anyone says anything that makes any sense that you disagree with.

My guess is that behind the scenes right now , Harris and Blitzer are negotiating a price with Textor for his shares. Textor's problem is that he has dramatically overpaid for what he bought if he wants to exit early like now.
He has already indicated he will take a haircut on the deal, so hopefully their is a deal to be done.
Another on going problem that needs overcoming is Harris' shares in Bronby.
I really am struggling to understand the rationale behind multi club ownership.

Interesting points made. Also thought it interesting he doesn't believe Forest's letter would have been a complaint against Palace playing in the competition.
I think its encouraging that UEFA have effectively given Palace a window of opportunity to tweek our boardroom, whether thats Textor reducing his shares by selling maybe 5% of them to each director, resigning from the board or even finding a buyer for the whole lot. Not that I think Textor should be forced to do that just because UEFA's rule book is too vague.
The most encouraging thing for me is despite all the outside noise from the media and Forest muddying the waters further every expert in this field feels we will be playing in this tournament.

On that last point, it probably applies to most on here including my self. The amount of shares owned keeps being put forward as a measure of influence , but unless it’s a controlling number of shares that doesn’t give any idea of exactly what influence if any a share holding has.
If Textor, resigns from the board ,he resigns his25% opinions regardless of shares. We just don’t know, if only because UEFA, have got themselves into a corner bending with the wind because they have fallen over backwards on several occasions for some of the more wealthy clubs around.
 
Most of all this is conjecture. I suspect the media know next to nothing and we know even less. All the new posts in this thread are just us killing time (I think someone else already said that) until we get an answer. It's the keyboard equivalent of pacing up and down. I don't think there's been anything particularly solid so far and no new news along the way. Nice lively debate though which I respect everyone is entitled to.

Uefa rules state anyone holding over 30% is classed as a significant share holder.

You got to look at it like this - Parish messed up big time, by not getting this sorted before the March deadline

SP loves all the plaudits when things go well - but he’s very well paid for what he does and basically he dropped the ball on this one and messed up big time..!!

That said Textor has no influence over the running Palace - hence his frustration and desire to sell his shares.

Meantime Lyon - a club that Textor does run are still under investigation for financial mis-management by UEFA with a threat of relegation hanging over their heads.

Meantime Forest see an opportunity and are desperate to muddy the waters further - despite being in a multi club ownership scenario. Only difference is they utilised the loophole in March..!!

So question is are we multi ownership club - well the criteria for that - is influence in the running of the club, sharing resources, preferential rates on transfers da de dah.

The answer to all of that is no - like it or not SP calls the shots - and much to his annoyance Textor has little or no say..!! As has been said many times he has the dearest season ticket at Selhurst Park.

To me this is something whipped up by the press at a time not an awful lot else going on and others jumping on the bandwagon.

At worst we’ve been remiss (down to SP incompetence) but despite that we are not in a multi club ownership club - it’s that simple..!!

If you think we are show proof of where and how we share resources with Lyon and Brondby - we simply don’t.

So in summary UEFA put up or shut up..!!
