Palace potentially denied entry to Europa League?

Doesn’t Blitzer own 18% of the shares in Brondby, v. Textors UEFA perceived 43% - different to voting rights I know.
I’m not sure of what Textors holding actually was. I’ve read different stories but most say he has 43% of shares which are split between personal shares and shares held by Eagle Holdings, however he doesn’t own 100% of Eagle Holdings therefore surely his shares are diluted as are Blitzers at Brondby.

What we do all know is that he has 25% control of matters at Palace or did have.

You would think that - but that’s the scenario that UEFA seem unwilling or unable to get their heads around

Can someone please explain to me, how can we join the Conference league when one of our owners owns Brondy? Sorry is this has been explained elsewhere. Many thanks
I believe the answer is that our demotion into the Conference league is by order of UEFA themselves not through any action of ours or our of our owners. UEFA can't kick out Brondby because there never was a risk of Palace and Brondby qualifying for the same competition. They daren't exclude us from the Conference League so they have to put up with both clubs playing in that competition.

Are you suggesting U€FA make political decisions? My, how my life has changed since the 17th of May!

Some have posted that Lyon and or Forest may get sanction by CAS. I don't think that will happen.

CAS may criticise them but it is up to UEFA to decide punishment.

Best case for us is that we win and CAS slag off UEFA and Forest and Lyon.
Not even that.

If Textor is held to have had no decisive control of Palace at the material time, no need to comment on anything else.

CAS have the power to remove Forest or Lyon from the EL if they decide UEFA were wrong to put them in the competition.

I imagine Palace lawyers will be ready to use that to attack UEFA further. UEFA probably put Palace in the CL to keep us quiet and avoid a fight. (How did that work out?) What its actually done is prove to CAS that UEFA contradict and bend their own rules all the time. I can see our barrister now saying so my client is apparently not suitable for the EL because a former director had 25% voting rights on the board while having a financial interest in Lyon. So your answer to that is demotion to the Conference League where one of Palace directors has 25% voting rights on the board while having a financial interest in Brondby. Please explain Mr UEFA

I think that emotion and morals have clouded this situation. Whilst I can see why entering the Europa is an attractive proposition, I think that the conference would be more suitable for us. This is not a defeatist view, it is a pragmatic one. Personally I think UEFA has done us a big favour by putting us in the conference.

Would not Forest automatically exit the EL by virtue of Palace reinstatement (assuming the appeal wins) and Lyon remain as there is no MCO?

Our application to CAS is an appeal on our account. Who would be making representations to have Lyon/Forest kicked out

Why? The teams in the Europa are of a similar standard to us.

Sure, we might have a better chance of winning the Conference, but we could also win a pub team competition. That doesn't mean it's the preferred option.

I think the Bronby argument could go against us as they finished higher than we did in our respective leagues, so best not to open that can of worms.

The best argument is that Textor is no longer an owner of Palace and before the competition starts which is the most important aspect.
