Palace potentially denied entry to Europa League?

i love the thought that Textor, Parish and co have access to the info@ inbox.

Exactly. Anyone in an office knows that this needs to be set up and then selected users assigned to it. There''s a decent chance it may even be filters into the junk directory or not get through. The failure of UEFA to follow it up is criminal, but I guess that it's just one of many automated spam emails without any real directive to it sent out to all clubs in the FA Cup and similar across Europe.

I would love to see this vitally important email. Perhaps someone at the club can leak it.

I assume the email sent in January/ February was a notification that the deadline had been moved forward to 1/3 for any share activity , so a rule change notification. Badly delivered it would seem !
That could be true but a rule change that significant and financially impactful must be given mote time to comply.

All that Marinakis did was send a brief reply by March 1 saying I’m working through the details. Similar to a tax return extension.

Gave himself nearly another 2 months to see how the Greek and PL played out then pressed the send button based on the probability that Forest may last the course!

He is in bed with UEFA and the one we should target!!

So nobody checks the general info@cpfc.co.uk then, 🤣
Cmon ffs, you must know how much crap gets sent to these inboxes. I quite often used to have a casual glance through and delete literally hundreds of emails every day and that was for a small business.

The more important question is why are UEFA contacting Crystal Palace using this form of communication in the first place. Is it because Parish doesn’t appear in their favourites list and it was an afterthought to contact Palace at all.

A decent brief will have a field day in court with some of the UEFA procedures.

Parish stated, “UEFA sent an email in January to info@cpfc.co.uk.” And Textor stated, “UEFA sent us an email in late February.” Parish also stated, “They kept sending it and sending it.”

This has to be a significant factor in the CFCB’s decision-making process to ban us from the Europa League. In other words, a case of extreme insularity and naively on Palace’s part, but that doesn’t justify an outright ban.

Questions & Analysis:
What address should UEFA be sending emails to Crystal Palace? Clearly, Parish doesn’t like the one they used.
Who is responsible for monitoring CPFC emails and forwarding them on?
Were they finally forwarded to the directors and chairman in late February?
If Textor had these emails forwarded to him in late February, why didn’t he seek clarification, as a matter of some urgency, from the ECA regarding his MCO status?
And the same onus also applies to Blitzer.
Were these emails exactly the same, or was the wording changed to heighten the need to acknowledge and respond? It defies all belief that UEFA were just resending the same email.
How long does it take to respond to critical emails like these? The same day, that’s how long it takes!

If Textor (and the same also applies to Blitzer) had acted responsibly and had sought appropriate advice, through their membership of the ECA, they would, at the very least, have documented ‘a registered interest’ in this matter that would have bought them enough time to put their shares into a blind trust by the 30th of April final deadline.

I do appreciate that UEFA have hardened their position, and are making it increasingly difficult for MCOs to operate; but MCOs also need to protect their business interests, their operational integrity, and their reputation, plus the interests of the club they have invested in, in what is now a very difficult and treacherous climate for them.

I also appreciate that foreseeing this scenario would have been highly unlikely, but you have to be risk 100% risk averse regarding financial regulations, which means keeping your ear very close to the ground by continuously networking and employing some of the best sport lawyers and specialists in the business. And, at the very least, you seek independent advice from the ECA, and don’t just assume that you know what rules apply to you. And bear in mind, the chairman of the ECA, Nasser Al-Khelaifi, also sits on UEFA’s executive committee.

All this is hugely expensive and very time consuming, but if you want to be both competent and successful in managing a sporting portfolio that runs into hundreds of millions, you also need an accountability threshold that can justify the expenditure of vast amounts of money and the potential impact it can have on innumerable supporters of the clubs you both own and manage.
Just emailed this to info@cpfc.co.uk

I’m betting Ευάγγελος Μαρινάκης will be the first to read it, who will forward it on to ناصر محمد عبدالمحسن الخرافي.

You make a lot of assumptions, and they always seem to be against Palace
Its not against Palace, its about incompetence, i love Palace, i think Parish is a superb chairman, but someone dropped a B*****k and that is why we didn't get in, no other reason, yes, UEFA have been incredibly harsh, but we gave them the chance by not giving them a plan before March 1st, like it or not.

It seems there is something of a blame game developing. We won the FA cup, the biggest moment in this clubs history. Not enough for some , as they think not knowing we would win the cup is some sort of failure.
The main reasons the club failed to bend the rules as required by the bent UEFA was 1. The chairman at least knew the club, he, had no practical link to Lyon. 2. Nobody including the club could have seen us qualifying for European football.
UEFA, and there f—ked up unfit, rules are to blame not the chair and board that has taken the club to its highest position in its existence.

We wouldn’t have won the cup with your decisions and opinions anyway lol.

It makes my blood boil. UEFA are either woefully inept or corrupt (most likely both) to not see what is going on between these two. The number of deals is ridiculous.

Cheating in plain sight. One rule for them and another for us. Who'd have thought UEFA would get more corrupt after Platini left

Well there's also the possibility that email filters put the UEFA notification in the Spam box.

There's a reason this email went missing, and sent to a general club email puts UEFA in quite a bad light

In my own Spam box I have many emails from Nigerian Princes and Local Government officials asking to put large sums of money in my bank account. Maybe I have a couple from UEFA, asking me to tell Textor to put his shares in a blind trust. 😁😁

What about IF (there you go whataboutery & speculation all in one post....... but bear with...)

Textor, as is likely for a Director, has access to all emails to the club and being in the States a lot works on a different timescale to the UK.

He sees the warning one from UEFA and thinks "sod that! I want to sell my shareholding, so I'm not tying them up in a blind trust"

He then deletes the email before anyone else sees it and can act on it.

When we win the FA Cup, realization dawns that he really has dropped us in the doo-doo, hence the comment about 'knowing we were in trouble'

Sometimes 2+2 really can = 5

DISCLAIMER
This is pure speculation and for entertainment purposes only and in no way is intended to cast any aspertions on Mr. Textor
HOLs Miss Marple may be onto something 😳

Textor, was taking the piss on talk sport, and here he continues to take the piss.
Everyone knows the part he has played in this sorry mess, yet here he is in bed with the club to benefit from a mess he made. All the time UEFA are to busy stitching us up to bother about some real sculduggery.
