Next Manager?

Steve has a shortlist of 500 candidates to sift through.

Think it may depend on what division we are in next season. At the moment it’s looking like the Championship :-(
I totally understand the rationale behind your sentiments.
I recall having a private conversation with a member of the media after we had won the FA Cup,secured a place in Europe and were in the midst of an unbeaten run.I opined that our supporters had enjoyed unprecedented times we had reached our 'High-water mark' and the direction of travel would be downwards perhaps with some alacrity. This was the catalyst for a full and frank discussion about our prospects.
It is with regret that my words have proved prophetic.

Can't be arsed to work it out but if it was Southgate would we be the club with the most ex- or future England managers? Can think of Venables, Taylor, Allardyce & Hodgson.

Whoever it is, they have an almighty task on their hands. Convince players that there is meaning to life at Crystal Palace FC, turn results around, avoid relegation, put up with Steve Parish, deal with the media, win the Conference Cup.

At the Spurs game I did say I thought we could do a managerial swap in the summer.

Now I think we could do a managerial swap this week!

Frank ticks every box for me. Guarantees survival, manages to adapt to player loss, develops players... Not doing well atSpurs isn't a slight on him, no-one does that job well

What boxes does he tick for Johnson?

Managers use players in different ways on different teams e.g. Sarr is useless when a team defends deep, but awesome on the counter-attack. If Glasner went to a top side he'd be a fool to take Sarr with him.

Just because Johnson didn't start every week at Spurs, where teams often play on the counter against them, doesn't mean he wouldn't work at Palace. Brentford had plenty of success with quick wingers.
