If we were going to buy this guy surely we would have done so by now? Perhaps he was only ever in the frame if Guehi left? With Riad injured it must still sense to go for him? As someone once said ‘there are more questions than answers.’

Graham Parker? His name does sound like a lower league manager.
 
The fact the player admitted to talking to Glasner suggested this deal was always likely to happen if we could agree a fee. By all accounts sounds like he could be a bit of a bargain. Plus he was already playing in a back three at Wolfsburg, as well as having played under Glasner before. It would be good to sign a couple more to ease the pain of watching Brighton going on a Supermarket Sweep shopping spree across Europe.
