Sky have found out that filling the time on rolling sports news (let's face it mainly football) isn't easy so will endlessly spew out any old nonsense - must be an agent's dream; one tweet and you get full on television coverage. It's not as though there's any accountability when they rattle on about made up rumours, gossip, hearsay and wishful thinking.

Do you know what really winds me up about Sky sports News. They have f*** all news to play for hours on end, then when they actually have a press conference worth watching they leave it midway through to repeat some of the old tripe that’s been repeated all day before going to adverts. 😳

SKy News has been poor for a long time now, all they have on us is Rahim Sterling news for us to sign. In what world are we going to pay somewhere up to the £50m Chelsea will want for him and then lay out £300k a week, more than double our biggest pay earner.

I hope you're right but it's probably until January or the end of the season.....but if we make Europe, who knows he could resign.

Lacroix is surely a replacement for Andersen. Riad replaces Tompkins.

We currently have four proper centre halves. Riad, Guehi, Richards, Holding. Not enough. We need six, unless you think we can make do with players out of position. I hope to never see Holding.

Maybe, but i hope we get him as Glasner seems to love him.

I agree Holding is bang average and should be right down the pecking order. It was a poor buy. I do however think that when you play 3 x CHs it’s down to who the opposition is as to whether it needs to be 3 x specialist CHs. Lerma looks like he can do a good job there and Clyne has proved he can play there too.

I’ll admit my ultimate preferred 3 would probably be Lacroix, Riad and Guehi and that could end up being the best in the league however if Guehi goes then Lacroix, Richards and Riad would be very solid with Holding, Lerma, Ward and Clyne as cover.

Having seen the latest news I don’t think Guehi will go unless Liverpool put a £75m-£80m bid in and even then Glasner would probably object unless we have definitely got Lacroix in. Whatever happens, Andersen needs to be replaced and I hope the club have got this in hand.

I can see Guehi more likely going in the Jan window or next summer latest.

I can't judge Holding as, like you, I have not seen him given any game time.

We could have done with him last season when most of our CBs were crook (inc him)

Well Wolfsberg appear to be rejecting our offers. Benfica say Araujo is 100% going to be their player until next year. This the problem now. It's so late in the window.
