Kamada will be an asset

I still think there's a decent player trying to come out. Maybe it will come next season. Maybe Wharton can bring the best out in him...

He did impact the game today though... by starting the match, Man U's right side had to deal with him not Eze, so I reckon by half time they had all just switched off, then second half Eze sub and bang!

He definitely regressed with his performance today. Perhaps because he was playing the 10 role and he's not been used in that position of late. His recent improvement has been in CDM.

That looks like the best place for him when he plays. With Wharton hopefully back to fitness then game time might be limited. On the other hand with Doucoure out he may get some time off the bench

He should not have started, but then he should have been the first substitution but we keep him on to stroll around not taking any responsibility for marking players, contributed absolutely nothing to this game. It always feels like we are a player down when he plays.

Have absolute no idea why he is on the pitch at all. The last few games for full 90 minutes as well. What is it really OG sees in Kamada? Yes, he might be a decent footballer (qualified for World Cup with Japan that is a decent side), but in PL is absolute crap.

He's not suited to the Premier league but would probably be fine in a less physical league. He's patently not suited to a high press side.

He provides the hole in midfield, even when you bring another midfielder on the hole is still there.

I would give anything to sit down with OG and have him explain to me what Kamada brings. Seriously I want to understand. OG is one of if not the best managers we’ve ever had and normally I would think in Ollie we trust. But I just don’t see it.

I am having real trouble letting today’s game go. It was so good for the first half hour then….

Aaaaaaaarrrrrrrrraaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhh

Glasner has said it was correct to bring Mateta off as he wasn't doing enough. I had to laugh at that, unfortunately.

If you play him in a 2 man central midfield he will often be found out in the defensive aspects of the role.

He can win the ball through anticipation and interceptions when he nicks the ball.

However, if that doesn't work he has a tendency to go to ground - either conceding free kicks or getting bypassed.

With Guehi's return freeing up Lerma, and Hughes recovery, I don't expect to see Kamada as a central midfielder in forthcoming games.

Fingers crossed 🤞

It’s certainly a stretch to play him and Wharton together. Both are quite lightweight and struggle to compete physically. Wharton needs a very physical, good tackling, high energy player alongside him. If he has that it gives him some time and space to play his passing game. Without it he gets overwhelmed and the midfield is ineffective.
