think Meyer was on £125k a week and Kamada £105k.
The discrepancies are often as the club/agent might ask for a bosman bonus or a relocation fee. The club will no doubt divide it over the contract, but i suspect it is a guaranteed amount that must be paid.
Sol Campbell had a £10m 'bosman' fee paid over his 5 year contract at Arsenal, so £40k a week extra (on top of his £60k salary) and Klinsmann at Spurs was given a relocation fee so his wages stayed within the club's wage structure.
If these deals were happening 20 years ago it is clear they will be common place today.
Meyer was a disaster - cost the club over £20m in total - so let's not say we got him for 'free'.
Kamada is clearly over paid, and i suspect that's why the club only gave him a 2 year contract.
Incidentally i suspect Lerma's reported £70k a week is on the low side as i suspect his agent has added on a bosman bonus. Else why would he come to us when he was already on £50k a Bournemouth.
