Israel v Hamas

Hamas leader Khalil al-Haya said in a speech from Qatar that the October 7 attack on Israel "will forever be a source of pride for our people".

His terror group achieved nothing but tens of thousands of innocent people killed.

The Palestinians will go down in history as the most resilient people in our modern times. A people with no weapons defending themselves against the most wicked oppression, with its overpowering might and technology, in human history with just their sheer will and determination.

After all that has befallen them, they are still there.

What remarkable people they are.

What did they do to anybody else, ever?

Nothing that I can find, they just wanted what everybody takes for granted, the right to live in their own homes.

No, Jews will go down in history as the most resilient people.

Or the most stupid.

They will go down as terrorists.

What did they do to anyone else, try late last year as a starter, then why no Muslim country wants them and why they starved for 18 years when dough was pouring into the enclave.
Maybe just an opinion !

They seemed happy enough to murder and take hostages in a horrific terrorist attack on October 7th.

How long will the ceasefire and peace last? Until the next terrorist attack.....

'The Death of Israel'

A victory for Trump, goodbye to 'Genocide Joe', the 'Butcher of Gaza' Blinken, and 'Holocaust Harris' rather unfair in her case, really she just ignored it, but that's why they lost.

Comrade George (Mohammad) Galloway - seriously?

I regard this "deal" with a huge amount of cynicism. Netanyahu depends on his administration's far-right, orthodox members for his own survival. They have only agreed to it to get the hostages back on the condition that Israel resumes its bombing once done. If he refuses, they leave and he is out. If he is out he may well end up jailed. So he won't refuse.

So I expect to see any violation of the agreement by Hamas being used as the justification for resuming the war.

It's not over yet.

So Hamas are their own enemy then and have been from oct 7 th.
Glad that’s agreed now !

What has that idea got to do with the peace deal? Which is extremely complicated and very fragile.
Well I suppose an idiot would presume that not firing rockets, shooting across the border or attacking Israel and releasing hostages will constitute abiding by the rules of a ceasefire.
Not sure what you think but of course this is only an opinion !!!

Of course it would! That’s not the point.

The point I was making was that there are elements within the Israeli government who don’t want the agreement and have only agreed to it to get the hostages back. Netanyahu depends on them for his survival. So I fear that once the exchanges have happened anything that can be presented as a violation will see Israel resuming their mission to eradicate every last trace of Hamas. I wouldn’t be bidding for a restructure contract just yet.

So what could they do to not violate Israel which apparently is a violation in the eyes of Israel.
They are getting nearly 2000 of their own back in return so it isn’t just a charitable move by them and I doubt all of them want a ceasefire either.

We’ll see!

I doubt whether Hamas are able to fight much now, even with their increased numbers. They probably want a pause so will be very careful.

Hamas are not the concern. It’s the ordinary people who just want a normal life. Not the committed terrorist religious nut-jobs.

Most of the population support Hamas. They voted them all in 20 years ago.
Collateral damage to Hamas. You know we like life, they like death !

It’s not too hard to imagine an isolated incident caused by a trigger happy fighter responding to provocation, whether real or imagined, being used as an excuse for Israel to react. If they decide to do it, they will find the reason to justify it.
