Israel v Hamas

I did a quick search for claims of ethnic cleansing happening in the world today. Can somebody tell me why there is virtually no news coverage; no protests in the streets of London; no outrage by MPs; no outrage in the UN; or pontification by celebrities? Yet we get nothing but Israel, Israel, Israel. Why are Palestinians treated uniquely to the Muslims mentioned below? Strange isn't it?

1. Myanmar (Rohingya Crisis)
Group targeted: Rohingya Muslims.
Nature of claims: Myanmar's military has been accused of conducting widespread atrocities, including mass killings, sexual violence, and forced displacement, against the Rohingya in Rakhine State.
Impact: Over 700,000 Rohingya fled to Bangladesh since 2017.
International response: The International Court of Justice (ICJ) is investigating genocide allegations.

2. China (Xinjiang Uyghur Muslims)
Group targeted: Uyghur Muslims and other Turkic minorities.
Nature of claims: Reports suggest mass detentions in "re-education camps," forced sterilizations, and cultural erasure.
Impact: Over 1 million Uyghurs detained; restrictions on religious and cultural practices.
International response: Widespread condemnation; several countries accuse China of committing crimes against humanity.

3. Ethiopia (Tigray Conflict)
Group targeted: Tigrayans.
Nature of claims: Ethnic violence and forced displacements during the Tigray conflict (2020–2022). Reports of massacres, sexual violence, and destruction of livelihoods.
Impact: Thousands killed; over 2 million displaced.
International response: Investigations by the United Nations and calls for accountability.

4. Syria
Group targeted: Ethnic Kurds, Sunni Arabs, and religious minorities.
Nature of claims: Forced displacements and targeted killings during the Syrian Civil War, particularly in areas with Kurdish populations or rebel-controlled zones.
Impact: Millions displaced internally and abroad; entire communities uprooted.
International response: Ongoing war crime investigations.

5. South Sudan
Group targeted: Ethnic Dinka, Nuer, and other groups.
Nature of claims: Ethnic massacres during the civil war (2013–2018) and intercommunal violence. Allegations of deliberate targeting based on ethnicity.
Impact: Hundreds of thousands killed; millions displaced.
International response: Peace agreements and calls for reconciliation.

6. India (Manipur Violence and Kashmir)
Group targeted: Kukis in Manipur; Kashmiri Muslims.
Nature of claims: Ethnic violence in Manipur (2023) and displacement of communities. In Kashmir, allegations of demographic changes and human rights abuses persist.
Impact: Thousands displaced in Manipur; long-standing unrest in Kashmir.
International response: Regional tensions and internal political debates.

These are very small beer, compared to the Bible and the British Empire.

The bias of modern media.

Why are two deaths given more coverage than the slaughter of a population ?

"At least two people have been killed, and dozens more injured, as firefighters in Los Angeles battle wildfires around the city" (BBC website headline 8.1.2025)

It's not just the media.

The coverage in LA will not come anywhere near that we have had of Gaza.

There is no slaughter of a population. Only in your anti-Israel head.

I look forward to your next topic about the Muslim plight in the countries I mentioned. Or maybe not.
