Is the club defrauding loyal supporters?

I thought it was usually a coconut shy but aiming stones, darts, pool balls and bricks straight at me. Although I'm just one of those lucky people who when they hit me, it didn't affect my looks.
The slings and arrows of Jonathan Fortune?

My vivid memories from the time are walking to the ground up Thornton Heath High Street from Carew Road with my Dad, clutching his hand tight. Standing on a freezing Whitehorse Road Terrace crunching on discarded monkey nut shells under foot and the glorious smells of folk smoking.

Love that 😎

I sit in the Whitehorse now and I wonder if the kids will be reminiscing in 40 years time about the stench of grease and smoke wafting up from the grot burgers they’re selling underneath us 🤣

The club have changed the way they issue the tickets now. I queried my confirmation email for tickets for the City match, as it didn't have a prompt to add the tickets to my Apple Wallet.

The tickets are now being issued on the week of the match. This has to be another measure to stop them appearing on resale sites.

Encouraging.

Keep us informed please. Presumably this is Simon Jordan?

It wasn't worth listening to to be honest. SJ had sympathies but said that basically we are victims to the wages, agents and success of the Premier League.

A man u fan spoke about the protests by man u, city and L'pool at the weekend. He said about them getting rid of concessions tickets. All tickets will be £66 whereas they are £40 and £25 for juniors at the mo. Also said (like at Villa and Br*ghton) that if you don't use your season ticket for a certain amount of games then you lose it. He said it's 15 at the mo but will be 16 next season and 17 the next one after that.

A Fulham fan rang in. He said he's sitting in new stand v Arsenal on sunday and taking wife and daughter to their first game. He's paid £400!! £160 each for him and wife and £80 for a 4yr old kid!!

And then a Villa fan called in and said he can't afford to go and that's just the way it is. Either you pay what they want or don't go. It's a choice.

SJ alluded to it maybe getting worse as he said he doubts Sky can afford to pay the same for next deal if at all as losing lots of customers.
Maybe this is why Premier League is looking to own it's own channel like the MLS. SJ has long said they should do this and charge everyone worldwide the same £10 a month and then they'd make billions. I think this is what they'll do and then it may just become more affordable for everyone and we'll find out then just how greedy the clubs really are if they still fleece us!!

Maybe the future of season tickets is also limited (in years to come) for those clubs that are a sell out every home game & those that don't care who is in those seats, just change the business model to one where each game is treated as a one off event (Like concerts) & sell the tickets accordingly - based upon the popularity of the opponent & demand.

Clickbait saying Newcastle supporters have had same / similar problems buying tickets as Palace fans -

The interesting yet unexplained part is the ticket bots. It said SportsGeek or something like that but I went onto their website and it was so hard to navigate that I didn't bother to investigate too far. Had all the sh1tty American sports - although I don't mind the NFL.

Perhaps that is why they are reconsidering the 3pm blackout

Its now a business not a game, money is the root of all evil. There is no way the prices are going to go down for match day tickets, whilst there is still the demand from football tourists, which are growing in number.

Terrific initiative(s) certainly underlines Brentford position in terms of full take up of away end allocations
(subsidised by the club for U18) which will no doubt put them in a good position to cement future generation fans -

Unlike Spurs & UTD who are setting out a pathway to have ticket prices reflecting full adult charge for all supporters on a "milk it now" & let future seasons take care of themselves attitude.

That’s about the size of it, besides if they did slash the prices, fans would then be moaning that we’re not spending enough in the transfer windows.
The money for Kamada’s £100,000 a week has to come from somewhere 🤨

West Ham have also done away with junior matchday concessions too. There fans have been protesting with black baloons this season.

I still think it's digusting that most clubs don't have concessions for disabled fans. This also applies to teams in the EFL (like cheltenham town for example).
