Why was Chalobah not playing against Arsenal? He and Hendo were my joint MOM's against the Seaweed. We will have a more balanced side against Bournemouth not having Chalobah or Munoz against Arsenal played apart in the defeat yesterday….

He cant have been because he was on the benchInjured?
I'll agree on the face of it but we dont see the full picture. Glasner does. When it comes to individual games and what he has available Glasner may feel he is the best (only) option for that position.Needs to just stop playing Kamada.
I am willing to bet my mortgage on there NOT being 'a lot of Arsenal type score lines'. No way. It was our midfield that failed to defend the edge of our box and left our defenders exposed. WE have a fantastic defence. It will be a rare occasion to concede more than 2 in a game never mind 5!Its quite simple, if you back him with 3 or 4 players he wants, and we need to sell to fund it he needs to commit to the club, if we don't get the players he wants and we continue to play the same way, which he will, we will have a lot of Arsenal type score lines, so it doesn't matter what i think or yourself, its the board, Back him or sack him, i don't think if you sell Guehi for 50m and get 3 in he wants, maybe one on a loan, the loss of Guehi doesn't make one bit of difference.
Very very harsh as well as untrue. Ward for example may not be able to play with the same intensity he once could for a full 90 minutes. He could 100% do it for 45 though.Clyne, Ward and Schlupp are not cover for anyone, they are poor, knackered old Donkeys
If the transfer window goes badly then i fear it will, we don't have a fantastic defence, we have some fantastic defenders, that is completely different.I am willing to bet my mortgage on there NOT being 'a lot of Arsenal type score lines'. No way. It was our midfield that failed to defend the edge of our box and left our defenders exposed. WE have a fantastic defence. Really, that three are finished.Very very harsh as well as untrue. Ward for example may not be able to play with the same intensity he once could for a full 90 minutes. He could 100% do it for 45 though.
There is no doubt the Premier now is more physical than before with pressing being more prevalent and high levels of fitness required. Squads are getting younger as a result, Man City have an old team and its now showing.Clyne, Ward and Schlupp are not cover for anyone, they are poor, knackered old Donkeys
I am in total agreement. There is no doubt the Premier now is more physical than before with pressing being more prevalent and high levels of fitness required. Squads are getting younger as a result, Man City have an old team and its now showing.
Its a disrespectful to refer to the above as knackered old Donkeys, just that their time as gone, as it does with all of us at some point.
Ok, Knackered old PlayersThere is no doubt the Premier now is more physical than before with pressing being more prevalent and high levels of fitness required. Squads are getting younger as a result, Man City have an old team and its now showing.

Is it disrespectful or just ignorant - or possibly a combination of both ?There is no doubt the Premier now is more physical than before with pressing being more prevalent and high levels of fitness required. Squads are getting younger as a result, Man City have an old team and its now showing.

We are football fans, not Plato. The fickle nature of certain individuals on this thread is hilarious. I mean the same poster 'might' still want Glasner gone but at the same time wants his contract extended? While we are at the lower end of the table and waiting for the turn around in form to be complete? Before he has proved himself by finishing this season strongly? I mean really? I back Glasner and want to stick with him but even I think that extending his contract right now is a simplistic and naive view.
Its not feasible to use the 'back him or sack him' excuse for those comments either. You can back the bloke without giving him something he isn't expecting that will cost the club unnecessary extra money. In fact he is already being backed. And its looking more and more obvious that players are being readied to come in in January. There is nothing more Glasner could or should expect and he probably doesn't. As far as the sacking him option goes we have had a poor result against a very good team that wehave a poor record against. Some perspective is needed yet as usual the hysterical panic merchants run round in circles screaming 'we're all gonna die'!
We've had some very good performances of late as well as a couple of great results. This in my opinion was a blip. I believe we will be back to nicking points from games again very soon.
Its not just disappointing that this thread comes alive again after one bad result, its downright embarrassing. I'd guess the majority of people that participate on this forum are adults. You wouldn't think that if you were a stranger coming on and viewing some of the ridiculous overreactions the minute we get a bad result.
As a side note I was out for dinner with friends last night. A family of die hard Arsenal fans were amongst us. All of them felt Arsenal were lucky to avoid penalties in the cup, acknowledging their second goal was off side and the ref giving it was a 'home decision'. As for Saturdays game everyone agreed it was not a 1-5 game. They scored a couple that should have been avoided, we failed to score a couple that we should have done. The size of the defeat makes the result look far worse. Anyone that actually watched the game if honest would acknowledge we pressed and probed right to the end. Arsenal's time wasting in both games failed to rattle us too.
“Failing to score a couple that we should have done” is maybe the defining reason that we haven’t progressed further in our time in the Prem. The Brighton game was so refreshing because we DID take our chances. No one thinks we are suddenly doomed because we lost 5-1 to Arsenal. But most of us are frustrated that yet again we did the hard work but were found wanting upfront. The fickle nature of certain individuals on this thread is hilarious. I'm surprised you even know who Plato was but no one is saying you have to be super intelligent to be a football fan. Just a grown up. You wouldn't but a car and march back into the showroom demanding a refund a month later because a couple of things have gone wrong with it. Or lets say you are the type that would. You'd be giving all the sales staff there a good laugh. How is maybe still wanting him gone muted? Explain that please. We are football fans, not Plato.
I think there's been quite a muted reaction to a 5-1 home defeat. Mainly because we were largely in the game - except in defence. And we didn't expect much anyway.
However, Glasner - issue of this thread - patience will run out if results are bad, and if Kamada continues to play. Unless he miraculously improves - which seems unlikely as a late 20s player is not likely to suddenly become more physically imposing.
Kamada isn't good enough and you seem to feel the need to be abusive. You think you're really clever but obviously can't accept that people sometimes have differing opinions. Best of luck with your attitude.I'm surprised you even know who Plato was but no one is saying you have to be super intelligent to be a football fan. Just a grown up. And as for him picking Kamada. This is just so juvenile. You find one thing you're not happy with that you know most of us agree with and keep going on and on and on about it. Has it occurred to you Glasner might just drop him if we sign a replacement in Jan? You know, what with Deveney being a great prospect but vastly inexperienced, Wharton injured and Eze not available it might have missed your notice that there are limited options. I dont know anyone who wants Kamada to play but all people do on here is use that one issue as a stick to beat Glasner with. Change the record.
Shouldn’t this be in transfer talk. Aristotle and Plato will hopefully come in and replace Kamada and Schlupp. Then performances will be:Kamada isn't good enough and you seem to feel the need to be abusive. I know what I see in front of my own eyes: are you literally blind or just as stupid as your post? In front of our eyes on a thing called a football pitch, in a football ground, we have both seen Devenny and Kamada play.
You think you're so clever - who's been better Aristotle?
I can imagine Glasner using this as a phrase during a team talk, although given his background he may be a student of Wittgenstein instead.Shouldn’t this be in transfer talk. Aristotle and Plato will hopefully come in and replace Kamada and Schlupp. Then performances will be:
"WE ARE WHAT WE REPEATEDLY DO.
EXCELLENCE, THEN, IS NOT AN ACT, BUT A HABIT."
Read the Doombear post, then you might learn something, instead of talking a load of S***e like normalThe fickle nature of certain individuals on this thread is hilarious.
