Is Glasner the problem?

I didn't say it was a test to see who knows the most. He clearly knows better than us. My irritation is at the constant 'cant Glasner see that Sarr cant play on the left' chat implying he's an idiot, or that he's happy to play the 'wrong' formation every week.

You could argue bottom 3 football IQ, but again, a very binary view. Football IQ thats just part of it. Strength of squad, fitness, suspensions etc.
After 57 pages of the same stuff, I’m finding this thread boring. The same people keep going on about Glasner not knowing what he’s doing, playing the wrong players in the wrong positions, persisting with three at the back, etc and others feeling the need to defend him. I do wonder if the moaners anre the same people who moaned about Royball. He’s our manager ffs! As fans we should get behind him.
By all means have an opinion about our best team and formation, but a thread entitled “Is Glasner the problem?” Is embarrassing and poor show.

If it is so boring why keep coming back?

Well yes you will always have people defend no matter what and people not happy that is how people are each person has own view on how things should be.

Do you want everyone to just be sheep and bah only.

People got annoyed with Royball because of the fact he wasnt achieving anything if we went on cup runs etc that would have been something but we never did and plus every week he would pick same players/subs with us ending up not even winning or getting a point against teams we should be competing with or beating. (Otherwise people had praise for Roy when he went on that great run when he returned for just the end of the season)

People are behind they are not satisfied with what is going on we are in relegation zone what is to be happy about plus we are not even playing good football for the whole game.

I'm unaware of a rule which precludes a Palace fan making an observation about decisions made by a manager.
You are not disbarred from being a Palace fan for having an opinion, even if it happens to be a negstive one which is evidence based.
We are in the bottom 2 after one win in 12 games, having scored just 8 goals and this on the back of a relatively kind fixture list.
These are the facts.

Of course there are mitigating circumstances, but there seem to be an awful lot of assumptions about us flying up the table when all the players are fit, when the new players have bedded in, when we buy in the January window etc.
All good positivity, and let's hope it all happens.
However, at the moment it's all conjecture and we remain in the bottom 2 with a daunting forthcoming fixture list.
I can only deal with 'what is' as opposed to 'what might be.'
Some will take comfort from the fact that we have been in every game and that our match stats are ok, but ultimately the table doesn't lie .

I'd hazard a guess that you'd find a similar thread on Man City forums currently - so we're not exactly the most fickle of fans.

Currently, for us, Glasner did well at the end of last season but has done poorly so far this season. He hasn't won or achieved anything for us really - sticking with him is unlikely to be considered unless we turn things around really soon.
As we all know, the reality for most managers. But I also believe we've been through more managers than most teams in the Premier League. Particularly as there's no Watford types currently. So there is unlikely to be blind hope from the board.

We just seem to waste too many chances and we can't keep saying it's bad luck, roll on January transfer window and let's hope we get upgrades on LWB and attacking players.

Also why does he insist on bringing on who ate all the pies

Because he doesn't like Schlupprises?

I would stick with Glasner even if it means fighting relegation until the end of the season . I don't expect that to be the case . We are playing OK ,could be better but well enough and should with the rub of the green be comfortably in mid table .
Results will turn in our favour and the annual 'will we be relegated' thread will be put to bed along with this one .

In the cold light of the next day, where I would be critical of Glasner is again sticking to the same formation. Yes, we played better than them and had better chances, but when Isak was injured and lightweight, not centre forward but fast, Gordon went to centre forward, we still had three centre backs marking just Gordon - who did nothing and wasn't going to do anything. We could have pushed Chalobah into midfield and matched their midfield - pushing our other players further up. I believe we would have had more control of the game then. Also not keen on our subs - the youngsters are proving to be better than the oldies.

How will you voice your opinion if lanzo does post again though 😂
“I personally thought it was a much better performance, plenty of effort, heads didn't go down, 15 shots to their 1, everyone knows i am not Glasners best Fan, but i thought it was one of his best performances, it was justice that we got a point, should have won, but after watching that game i feel a lot more comfortable about survival”

Quote from Lanzo on the Sandcastle match thread. Never doubted he’d come round eventually! Good man Lanzo!

I'm a firm Glasner supporter and I think any suggestions he should go amount to sacrilege. I watched yesterday's game on a stream and the commentator said he nearly ran into Mr Pardew on his way to the ground. So, be careful what you wish for - it's not the first time this season he's been spotted at Selhurst.

Dont know if you noticed, but we played the last 10-15 minutes with 4 across the back, although we were pressing forward a lot.
