Is Glasner the problem?

IMO there wont be any outgoings in the Jan window. Except for maybe Holding.

We made some sales in the summer, but were in a very different position. Team playing well, and looking forward OE and JA weren't likely to get much game time.
If I were a buying club I’d also be weighing up that if we get relegated that will knock £10m or £15m off the transfer fees for the likes of Guehi and Eze

Yeah it was terrible. But we had no CM. No amount of reshuffling would have made any difference
that's rubbish. With a depleted CM we could have gone 433.
One CM to pick up Smith Rowe would have been a start.
Kamada surely was bought to replace Eze yet he didn't even play in that position. Moving him to CM in the 2nd half was pure madness. Playing Doucoure and Schlupp for a 1/2 each would have been my approach.

Playing the same system which wasn't working previously and then having a couple more missing was madness. You play a formation that gets the best out of the players you have available.

As has been mentioned OG's looking a lot like Kompany at Burnley last season.
Maybe he too will end up at Bayern next year.

Its a results business, if he doesn't start to get points soon, that support will wain.
I agree but (whether people are honest with themselves and accept it or not) Glasner has not had a settled team since the end of last season. Finally the new players start to bed in and half his first choice players become injured or suspended.
Sacking him now would not only be unfair, if I were an out of work manager and had more than one option on the table I would not be choosing Palace when looking at how quick Palace sack the manager when he has been working with one hand tied behind his back.

I've never said give him unlimited time. If he cant sort it out of course he has to go. But sacking him now? Ridiculous

If we are still in the bottom 3 at the end of December he has to go imo

Villa A Draw
Newcastle H win
Ipswich A win
City H lose
Brighton A draw
Arsenal Cup we should win this one
Arsenal H lose
Bournemouth A Draw
Southampton H win

Hoping for the above results
I think the end of December is fair. He has to be given until then though

I just read an online article (sorry I dont know how to put it up on here) written by a Journalist that has close contacts at Palace.
The gist is that the club have no intention of removing Glasner and are instead fully focussed on rectifying mistakes made in the last transfer window.
It looks like rather than sack him they are preparing to spend in January.

I don’t know. I think there would be plenty of out of work managers who would be happy to sign a 1 or 2 year contract with a juicy bonus for keeping us up. Get it right and it’s a few million quid for 5 month’s work. Seemed to acceptable to Pullis. If you sign a longer contract and get sacked you’ll still walk away with a few million in your pocket. I don’t think we’d be short of takers

Seems to be the plan. We have to pick up some points between now and then. If we don’t double our points total by then I don’t think it will matter what we spend.

Tel on loan and maybe Esse would massively shake the squad up. If it could be Rigg as well then I'd be ecstatic with that.

One thing I would like us to do, if we can, is recall Rak-Sakyi and, if the injuries continue, recall Ozoh - if he's recovered from his injury. Don't know if we have those options. My reading of it is that we would be able to as we could terminate loans during the squad registration window (which is basically more or less the transfer window).

With regard to the January window somebody joked in an earier post that we'll probably end up with two new centre halves and a goalkeeper.
Well almost on cue we're being linked with two centre halves......Tomas Araujo and Terry Yegbe ).
Quite possibly just agent talk partly prompted by more speculation re Guehi leaving.
I can't see us buying yet another centre half.
Ben Chilwell is another name being mentioned.
A fit Chilwell would be a perfect LWB in Glasner's system who can chip in with goals and assists.
However, we already have Chaloboah and I'm not sure you can loan 2 players from the same club.
And here's where it gets complicated and my head starts to hurt - unless we cancel Chaloboah's loan, bring in a new centre half and bring Chilwell in as a permitted loan.
And now I'm going back to my medication...

You couldn’t make it up. An agent or the media could but we couldn’t

Are Tomas Araujo and Terry Yegbe real? They look like anagrams.

Absolutely. He deserves time to sort this out. He's earned that.
