Is Glasner the problem?

I think you also have to question if the boards policy of only offering the over 30's a 1 year contract and generally recruiting younger players with a view to selling them on is working out. While we had no choice over selling Olise, it would have been possible to keep Anderson and Ayew who are just the sort of players we could do with right now. I think JRS would also be getting game time but i see he is on a season long loan to Sheffield Utd. He looks a better player than Sarr in my opinion even though i had high hopes of Sarr when we signed him. Where has the player gone who scored a brace against Liverpool playing for Watford.
Palace have a recall clause halfway through his loan. When the January window opens. He gets no say in it either. If Palace decides he comes back for the second half of the season he comes back.
I would say though that his form for Sheffield United has been patchy. One great game, 2 average ones. And so on. I doubt he will be a magic wand for us. I'd still take him back though. If for no other reason than to cover for injuries.

He wont be a problem after Xmas, he will be gone and replaced by Moyes. Moyes isnt the most exciting manager, but knows the Premier League and whats required to get results.
Moyes was hailed as the answer at Sunderland when he replaced Allardyce. We all know what happened there. Sunderland have still not recovered from that disastrous season even now. Moyes in my opinion is not the answer. If we are to part ways with Glasner the new guy has got to be able to make an immediate impact.

I disagree. his plan was beginning to work, but he has been hampered by (in the most part) Injuries to the wrong people at the wrong time.

Statistics can show many things. And in this case, his points per game stat tries to make you believe we've been wholly sh*t, but it doesn't tell the whole story.
Sadly, when people want to spin it in the direction of what they want (Glasner getting the sack) they aren't generally interested in the whole story

While the prospect of Moyes doesn't fill me with any excitement, the positives are that he has recent experience at this level and knows the players - both ours and the oppositions.

And it's that experience that is key in my opinion.

I’m torn, changing my mind by the day.

I look at the record this season, the strange decisions, the reluctance to revise playing systems and feel that a change could be beneficial.

However, there’s a nagging thought that Glasner could be another Thomas Franck or Andoni Ariola - admirable and progressive managers who punch above their weight.
Franck has had to contend with the loss of their best player,Toney, through suspension and transfer and look stronger than ever.
Similarly, Bournemouth lost their top scorer, Solanke, but if anything are playing better than ever.

None of us know for sure, perhaps the board feel that they haven’t backed Glasner sufficiently and will stick with him and ensure that he gets the backing in January.
It would seem, at least to me, a retrograde step to e.g bring in Moyes.

With our points total, a third of the season gone and our upcoming fixture list we are clearly in for a struggle this season, regardless of who the manager is.
Good post. Pretty fair and balanced IMO

With regard to the penultimate paragraph above I've just read a report from the usually well informed journalist, David Ornstein, suggesting that Glasner retains the support of the club with an acknowledgement that the summer window could have utilised available funds better.
They always say that then a week or two later ....curtains.
Or more optimistically ' sorry bout the summer here's a 60 million for January '

Nobody can seriously want Glasner out though can they?
surely not

We had a bad game against Fulham.

But thats off the back of 2 good wins the week before, and a squad crippled by injuries.

No team in the league would be expected to perform if they were playing a CB and an U21 in center mid.

Any chat of the sack is just madness

7 points from 11 games. One win which was apparently down to the manager, all the other results weren’t his fault? Nobody can seriously believe that can they?
Who said the win was only down to Glasner? I've heard no one say that. Just the same as the defeat on Saturday wasn't solely down to Glasner either.
In fact I'd say due to the circumstances of that defeat that it was 100% down to the players but I wont be slagging them off either. Our injury list is crippling. They are doing their best. Want to win every week? Go support City. And before anyone starts saying but we dont win at all, since the Spurs game we have won 2, drawn one and lost one due to literally half the team being unavailable.
There's a chasm of difference between giving the guy a ten year contract and giving him a chance!

I find it hilarious how people seem to think they see/are aware of things OG isn't. Like they've seen some sort of tactical mishap that OG hasn't. Not just above but in general.

Everyone chill.
Did you watch Saturday's game?

Did you think tactically things were ok? Did you think the half time reshuffle worked?

If everyone chills we will be playing championship football next year.
