Don’t you mean they will refer them to a charity who recycle used phones?

That there are charities who do this is not, and has never been, disputed.

What is, and is now confirmed by you, is that they aren’t provided by the government as part of the standard package.
Yes that has now changed from what was done originally, so unlike some on here I admit that on this I was now mistaken. It doesn’t change the fact that apart from full board and lodgings, medical and dental treatment ( free), driving lessons (free) use of interpreters ( very expensive) cookery classes, English lessons, all free to them at taxpayers expense. I’m sure you will defend this but hey ho

I am not defending it or need to. It’s what is. Having considered our obligations and the alternatives this is how this situation is handled. Like it or not whilst their applications are considered they are in our care so are our responsibility. Decide the applications faster, or redetermine who qualifies to make an application, then things change.

If Starmer follows through with his statement that no one who arrives in a non standard way will be allowed to make an application then things might change but begs the next question of how you handle things then. If France refuses their return, as do their home countries unless they go voluntarily, then we are only left with housing them or paying them to volunteer. The latter could become a nice way to earn.

Add in craft courses and lessons in making things from bendy balloons. Trips out, money spaffed all over.

Leave the ECHR. Deport whoever we can, set up the Rwanda scheme, end the hotels, set up detention centres. It’ll soon stop them coming here.

What the traitors want is dispersal all over England, as long as it isn’t in their area, which it doesn’t look like it will, for now.

Deciding on applications more quickly is just the start though since every person approved can then bring in their family who will need accommodation, medical treatment, schools, etc. 10 such approvals will mean dozens of new arrivals.

I don’t know how old you are but people being hacked off with politicians isn’t new. I have seen it throughout my 81 years. The big difference today is the existence of social media and its capacity to spread disinformation and propaganda which some then regard as the truth, and the truth as lies. You have only to look at the USA to see the impact of this when it’s exploited to its full potential.

People can, and do, get out and protest. However what they are protesting about is being manipulated. They are being fed hatred. Are there really any more “kiddie fiddlers” these days than in the past or are people just being encouraged to believe there are? Are they really tying flags to lampposts as a sign of patriotism or because they’ve been encouraged to?

Farage is on a personal quest. He has less idea of how to actually solve our systemic problems in the world of 2025 than any of the real politicians. He is a populist trumpet. Blowing the tunes that get headlines in the Mail and winding up the impressionable.

He wouldn’t be thwarted by liberal left progressives or anyone else. He would be thwarted by realism.

What will happen at the next GE I don’t know any more than anyone else, but I worry because I don’t see anything sensible on the horizon. Farage is more than partially responsible for this, being the catalyst for Brexit and its mega stupidity. We need a brave, charismatic leader to emerge to tell us the truth, heal divisions, inspire and lead us. I don’t see one. Yet. I always have hope though.
You raise some interesting points. Maybe it would be better to ban all protests because there is a chance that they could be manipulated by online activity. Presumably in your world the Socialist Workers Party and Stand up to Facism rent a mob could disband as they’d have nothing to do. But I’m pretty sure you believe only right wing people peddle false propaganda; the majority of those protesting in Epping were locals concerned for their safety - can you say the same about the counter protesters?
And whilst I am not in my eighties I have several relatives who are. They get confused as to what is true and what isn’t. I’ll leave that there…

HO taking on extra staff to deal with them, so little experience. Guess what, they are getting a bonus for every application dealt with, most/ if not all will be approved. You heard it here first

'their area' is increasingly likely to be a tropical island in the South Pacific. Akin to a James Bond villain with speedboats, swimming pools and 24 hour waiter service. Recline on a deckchair and chat with Angela Merkel about the good old days of Eric Honecker. Meanwhile Western Europe burns.

Round em all up in a warehouse and say you are now a participant in the Squid Games. Should sort it out.

I don’t have any problem with people who hold strong opinions protesting. Whatever those opinions are. Provided they do so legally, which includes peacefully and respecting the rights of others. If anyone allows themselves to be wound up by activists that’s their responsibility. If however the activists incite illegality then it’s our responsibility to stamp it out.

How do you know the majority protesting in Epping were locals? Were you there? Did you interview everyone of them? Or did you read it in the Mail?

If you are suggesting I have dementia then I hope you will withdraw the suggestion. It’s a disease I am only too familiar with. My first wife suffers from it. I owned a care home that specialised in it and I raise money for the Alzheimer’s Society. I am extremely grateful not to be suffering from it. Yet!

An illegal immigrant using the eternal flame at the tomb of the unknown soldier in Brussels to fry eggs.

Last month an immigrant in France was arrested for lighting a cigarette on France's eternal flame.
A pretty good metaphor of what the third worldists are doing to Europe.

Pathetic.
