Grooming gangs

I note that the PM is happy to have a national enquiry into the Southport riots but still not the grooming/rape gangs.
I just do not understand this.
By all means have one for Southport - a truly horrible moment in time - but the grooming gangs needs one as well.

My guess on this enquiry is to blame the security forces. Again, takes the focus away from his pets.

I saw Sir Keir's speech earlier this morning. Was pleased with the two part approach. Establishing what happened and how it can be prevented in the future (for public consumption) together with immediate suitable action, protecting the public against already identified suspect people.

But who else is to blame apart from security forces and police? He should have been on 24/7 police watch or sectioned. It says the school authorities would only attend his home with police cover - WTF? Why didn’t someone do something about it? That’s what the parents will want to know.

The big problem, as it were, is the fact you can't take action until the act has been committed. You can't Section or imprison people without justification, or that you think they might do something.
In the Southport stabbings case, you would have to put Rudakubana on 24 hour security watch if you were going to prevent his doing the stabbings. And that might mean watching him for life, or some considerable time.
I'm pleased Starmer recognised that there are communities not fully integrated into British Society or values. That's not an easy fix, certainly not in my lifetime.
And nothing about the boats.

Well you could, for instance, blame the people that carry out the attacks.
