Unless Steve Parish has the log-ins for Aki's social media accounts, this means nothing.

As much as I'd love to see him alongside Wharton in midfield, it would be a waste of money. A loan in the right situation might work, moreso for CG as we're in a World Cup year
 
Our present midfield represents virtually zero goals. Hugh’s on Sunday, summed that situation up. Kamada, had a couple last year ,Lerma,has scored can’t remember when. Hugh’s and Wharton look distinctly uncomfortable every time any chance comes up.
Gallagher, if not played to defensively has a decent scoring record ,he knows how to finish, he has quality in that area as well as his general play. It’s all opinions but I think he would improve even our best line up.
 
It's the tenacity we need, in my opinion. Gallagher isn't the world's best player but I'd put him right near the top for effort. Surely that's what Glasner values? Box to box stuff would really help us. We're going to need a midfielder soon enough anyway. It could well be sooner than we think too. Another midfield injury now won't be great. It's not as if Wharton is at no risk. He hasn't long been back. Only caveat is Doucoure but I think that could be a month or two off. Who would you pick? Hughes, Kamada, Lerma or Gallagher. I haven't put Wharton but you might even think Gallagher would do more than him. Frankly, he probably would but I want Wharton happy here. I love Hughes but he's getting no younger. I like Lerma but he clearly has limitations (passing and shooting very average). Kamada, squad player - I'd develop Devenny for his role for the future, frankly.

Would be a brilliant signing but for financial reasons,never going to happen,unless a loan deal can be agreed.

No from me he will cost a fair bit and he runs around like headless chicken.

Not even sure why people are saying this it was the same in summer and we didnt even try plus he is playing for his current club so its not like he gets 0 game time.

At the most we may get a loan deal for a fee which is it really worth paying millions for that we need permanent players.

Running around like a headless chicken was enough to get him 8 or 9 goals and player of the year with us.

Exactly, that was a load of rubbish. He was our best player and he's got more experience now. Wharton would be our only worthy rival in midfield. He'd clearly improve our team.
People might be correct on price however. As for wages, despite some reports - he's on €65,000 a week currently. He'd take less than we're paying Kamada to put that into context.
 
I'd certainly have him. His energy and tenacity alone would be a welcome addition. Tbh even in the 10 role I think he'd currently do a better job than Pino.

I'm fairly confident this rumour is pure lazy journalism however.
