Do you think starving people would take any notice, even if true?

If they could massacre the terrorists they would! Instead they are massacring thousands of innocents hoping they get some terrorists in the process.

You just can't give Israel the benefit of the doubt - but you do with the terrorists! 🙄 Those high standards of being a Western nation means they can do no right! If they ever do... tumbleweed. Of course, you don't hate Israel - you just don't like its current PM. 😆😆😆

By your own logic on Netanyahu and Israel... If the USA was at war with Russia, you would not back them because Trump (who you dislike) is president. This is how ridiculous your argument is.

"massacre terrorists ", he thinks the Hamas are innocent helpless victims , FFS that's tantamount to support of a proscribed organisation.

Well Hamas are not starving are they? Is that not reason enough to even try to take what they have. Anyway I doubt it’s as bad as the Hamas run news tells us. Remember the hospital bomb and the Hamas kid documentary. All gone quiet on those stories. If that wasn’t enough to show what lying no good terror scum will do for their own agenda then being Played is the word ! How’s your game going ?
 
there are distinct groups being merged again. HAMAS are not the normal Palestinian population. HAMAS are a terrorist group who deserve everything they get by way of military endeavours. HAMAS were controlling Gaza and the West Bank, but that is not verifiable that they were 'elected', or that any of their actions have been endorsed by the Palestinian population.
Netanyahou's Government were in real political trouble before the October attacks by HAMAS, and the ensuing revenge attacks in order to rescue hostages was a way of propping up the Government, by garnering support.
Media reporting has been severely limited, and thus unverifiable to a large degree.
It is almost certain over 50,000 Palestinian civilians have been killed, with countless injured. Significant numbers of homes are uninhabitable due to military damage, as well as hospitals, water supplies and electricity supplies cut to zero
The Palestinians have protested against HAMAS actions, but I guess being on the brink of starving to death, they have other priorities.
Israeli's have also protested about their own Government's actions, not only in the lack of success in releasing hostages, but also the Palestinian civilian deaths. HAMAS still seem to be operational, to some degree.
I think that fact that people in power have other agenda's, has very much dehumanised the situation. That people can justify the wanton massacring of a population is a very sad thing to see.

Doesn't make a terrible situation any better but, nearly 50% of Gaza voted for Hamas in 2006, nothing since has indicated that level of support has changed one way or another.

If Hamas return the hostages and surrender en masse the Israelis would have no reason to wage war, problem is Hamas are prepared to fight to the last civilian. Hamas and their supporters are all looking for the destruction of Israel and it's Jewish and Druze inhabitants, which be a genocide?????

There is no end of this in sight

There comes a time when doubt is extinguished and straight speaking is required. The traditional allies of Israel have reached that point and are now, bar the USA, making themselves very clear. I heard a German minister doing exactly that on Radio 4 just a short time ago.

There never has been any doubt about the terrorists. Their actions have always been condemned.

You are confusing the condemnation of the current Israeli government’s behaviour with support for terrorism, where none exists. Both are condemned.

Using starvation and the bombing of the innocent as acts of war are unacceptable. Removing Hamas isn’t. What is obvious is that the Israeli government’s agenda now goes well beyond the latter for reasons that cannot be justified and are no longer being ignored by its allies.

Hamas are not the innocent victims that are being discussed. If they are using people as human shields and stealing aid then you need to be smarter than them. You don’t do what they want you to do. You don’t need to rely on Hamas to provide details of atrocities. You can see the evidence in the videos. Better still would be to allow independent journalists access because you don’t refuse it unless you are hiding things.

There are alternatives to the way the Israeli government is progressing this war. It would take longer and it would leave Gaza intact and that’s not what they want. Or rather it’s not in Netanyahu’s own interests. He is trying to protect himself. Not his country.
