And "Hagi could open a tin of beans with his left foot"
Let's hope he doesn't turn like an oil tanker or can't trap a bag of cement

There's certainly little time left for Guehi to leave and a replacement signed up, unless the wheels are already in motion and the deals largely in place.Other than Pino it has gone eerily quiet, is that it?
You know Parish likes the drama of deadline day ,guess we will just have to wait and see .Other than Pino it has gone eerily quiet, is that it?
Nelson is being bounded around a lot, there'll be others in the background, hopefully Pino passes his medical and there is no last minute bid from Wet Spam...You know Parish likes the drama of deadline day ,guess we will just have to wait and see .
Another defender and a forward to take some of the load off Mateta are probably the minimum . Who's available will have a big bearing on where we bulk up the squad .
It's an argument but my position is different.....not that it matters.
But yeah, I think Roy got this wrong.
Every manager needs results.
The same argument could have been used to against playing the young Ian Wright.
Maybe it is as simple as some players developing later and needing to find the right club. After all I imagine Mainz supporters could write a similar thread on JPMI think there must have been more to it.
Sorloth did look out of sorts for us and his goal and assists return was woeful. I don’t buy the ‘not being given a chance’ thing because he played 20 times for us. In addition to that Ray & Roy had the benefit of seeing him in training everyday and knowing him as a person both on and off the pitch. The fact the couldn’t wait to send him on a number of long term loans tells me there was more to it than simply performances.
We sent him to KAA Gent, he came back, we then sent him straight to Trabzonspor on a TWO year loan deal!
He then went to Leipzig - they then loaned him out to Real Sociedad (Twice) and when the second of those two loan spells ended they took a €10M loss on him and sold him to straight to Villarreal. It’s a strange one for sure.

there will be a que outside the doctors office monday lolAs mentioned, aside Pino we just don't seem to have much on at all. I do think we are pretty good at surprises sometimes, eg Cabaye wasn't picked up by the press, he was spotted in Soho, and Pino was leaked by the Spaniards, so I have a bit more faith in someone we've not mentioned here than those we have.
It's getting late now, definitely need a couple more in.
What happened?!Oh great. Now we've got Part Time James' floozies on board.

Perhaps this is what the Akanji story is about.
I don't think we'd be buying Akanji if Guehi was staying.
There's a story in the Guardian today mentioning that Palace fear a last minute bid from Real Madrid for Wharton.
I'm not sure why we should 'fear' it as he's under a long term contract and seems perfectly happy at the club.
Nonetheless, money talks and a huge bid may change perspectives.
Could Gallagher be the option to soften the blow if the worst happens?
Totally different players , but both with the ability to impact Premier League games from midfield.
Sorloth never got a chance to demonstrate if he could finish under Roy as minimal chances were created.
His role under Roy, as was the case of strikers in general under him, was to act as first line of defence.
Bear in mind Mateta didn't look good under Roy.
I've watched a bit of Sorloth since he's left, and his game hasn't changed that much. He's an out and out finisher.
Glad you are nowhere near Palace recruitment then 😂. Mainoo is so overhyped, only an international because he plays for Utd. Gallagher a far better finisher as well than Mainoo and Wharton.Gallagher is not the same type of player. (Headless Chicken lots of energy which is great but not much else)
I would rather take Mainoo.
What have I missed? That was quick Mods.
