As mentioned, aside Pino we just don't seem to have much on at all. I do think we are pretty good at surprises sometimes, eg Cabaye wasn't picked up by the press, he was spotted in Soho, and Pino was leaked by the Spaniards, so I have a bit more faith in someone we've not mentioned here than those we have.

It's getting late now, definitely need a couple more in.

Interesting, my Dad used to drive an escort in the 1990s. Still very loyal to Ford, now has a Focus. Don't understand why the mods on here get so uppity about the used car trade but we have to respect the rules I guess.

It's an interesting point.
Nelson is the only attacking player we are linked with that favours the left side.
Even left footed players now tend play on the right.
The art of the left footed forward bombing down the left and hitting fierce cross shots or bending the ball back for onrushing forwards seems to have largely died out.
When it's on display , it's usually from the left back.
Perhaps these skills will come back into vogue, just like the long throw has.

Glad you are nowhere near Palace recruitment then 😂. Mainoo is so overhyped, only an international because he plays for Utd. Gallagher a far better finisher as well than Mainoo and Wharton.
I agree CG is totally different to Wharton, would love to see them in the sanme team

Mainoo is a far more technical player. Close control, able to dribble and pass. His tackling ability is weak. Why Amorim prefers the alternatives I don’t know but I’d have him in a heartbeat
