Yeremy Pino

Naturally, one remains cautious until they have signed the dotted line, but it is always a gamble whether a player from the Spanish League can adapt to the Premier League.
I think he will be under pressure to fill Eze's boots, which could be unrealistic.
Or from the Championship to the Premier League. Every signing is a risk. This lad represents far less risk than say Eze when we signed him. Or even Wharton. We are just fortunate both deals paid off

Glasner talks in terms of Eze having strengths and weaknesses. There were weaknesses. He is not perfect. He wants his replacement to, perhaps, negate the weaknesses while not being able to fill the boots in terms of strengths.

Like Sarr. A replacement for Olise? No way. But Sarr brings something else which this fan likes very much indeed.

Certainly Eze slowed us down by holding the ball too long at times, but his talents were clear.
What matters I suppose is that the team wins games however they do it.

A quicker transition would suit us.

Apparently he puts in a shift defensively which already counters one of Eze’s weaknesses. Well liked by managers and fans alike and a multiple capped player for his country at 22.

Some would argue that he could end up a massive bargain at the price.

Quite.

Have you noticed most passes went to the right and not to Eze. We were more lethal down that side and were found out, the way teams adapted to Zaha. However...

Munoz on one side, Pino on the other. If Pino can offer an alternative pass option for Wharton + speed and delivery to match Munoz (please!) I see a very bright future.

Yes, up to £26m sounds like it might be £20m fixed fee plus bonuses - that is a decent price given his track record but no doubt partially due to previous injury

Everything crossed for the medical

Interestingly, I do wonder if a more defensive minded attacker down the left would allow more appearances for the more attack minded Sosa at LB therefore making it more like our right sided attack. Just a thought, but it would mean teams would have to be careful playing a drift defence against us with threats on both sides.

I might be totally wrong, but I thought Pino played on the right for club & country. If that is so, who would play left, him or Sarr( he does for his country)?
