Woke is alive and well

Yup. Wolfnibblechips the keyboard warrior, I hope I meet him so I can ask him to say to me what he said online to my face. Highly personal and nasty. No ban.

Now because I sarcastically said I was "surprised" at the new female dominated match of the day panel announcement I was called the following

Frogsporn "your daughters"
Soulboy "Culture warrior"
beef "Manosphere"
SC "too macho" "The last of a dying breed. A real man's man" (at least it was banter)
stinky "angry at women again" "stop quoting the stupid c***"
HK HG - whatever horrible s*** he said

then

your ex wife
incel,
cunce,
4chan troll,
hate women so much,
prick
cuck.

I was warned by the mods for my comment literally amongst the above. The hatred is incredible on that forum
Well you are very welcome here. Seems our Weed friends have gone missing for now 😩

Stonewall to axe half it's staff.

It's Trump's fault, all day every day, or is it?

So Stonewall got just over £500,000 from the US spread over three years, quite why the US taxpayer was doing this is anyone's guess, still in the scheme of things probably around 200,000 pa. They have now lost this funding and so will sack half their staff? Really? 200,000 will probably pay for 4/5 staff fully loaded costs.

More likely is that Stonewall has been receiving UK taxpayer and UK corporate money and that is what is drying up as people realise that a once well meaning organisation has become toxic.

Still rather than blame themselves it's so much better to blame Trump, all day every day.

Well they have lost several contracts with Government departments. Unfortunately the HO still believe it is a good use of funds

While I largely agree with Badger's post I also know that the problem with the creation of a group like Stonewall is the 'John O'Sullivan's First Law' which states that organizations not actively maintaining a right-wing stance tend to drift leftward over time.....and as the subject matter was inherently liberal in nature, the few right wing homosexuals involved within it were never going to stop its drift towards radical progressivism.

The reality is that liberalism has no real defence against progressivism, it's just a natural 'progression' as it were.....all it can do is 'tut tut'.

I also think it's what do we do when we have won the war?

Gays have had equal rights for several decades now and some might argue they have more rights as they are protected groups.

Stonewall could either run down it's activism side and become more like a social media group for gays or find new battles to fight and it chose the latter. The problem is that many who originally joined for gay rights including the founders don't agree with the direction it has taken.

I might be incorrect about this but since Trump's election win and the Musk and co investigation of USAID there seems to be an effect upon the number of woke enterprises about and/or their activity levels.

I suspect that a significant amount of funding for woke ideology protects all over the world was coming from this ideological usage of US taxpayer money.

It's quite disgraceful really.....many Americans can't afford the basics and their administration state was throwing billions around on exporting ideology.

Beyond stopping these programs the Trump administration really should find and hold to account the designers and enablers of this......I know that in some situations this 'aid' usage is done under the guise of 'soft power', however when that clearly extends into overt ideological promotion that doesn't have mass support in America itself, it crosses a line.

The whole 'protected groups' legal aspect of our law is something I regard as incredibly wrong. It's a Blair law and a fundamental aspect of left wing thought. if the Conservative party under Cameron and his successors had actually been Conservatives and not social liberals they would have voted to kick out this un-British part of law almost immediately.

Instead they accepted it as if it were a part of Conservativism and god knows how many people have been prosecuted using it or justifications for discrimination against majority groups cited using it....which is probably more common as its use.

Your 3rd paragraph could be describing the UK

So racism can be black on white. The irony is if the PC was black and I said stupid and black I’m definitely nicked.
IMO this is stupid but the law says otherwise. Hurty words gets you bird !

I was told on the BBS that picking on Ginger's for being ginger was ok and not racist at all, and I was called a racist for suggesting it by Adlerhorst, chief egotist and mod.

"American funding to Stonewall came through the Global Equality Fund (GEF), which focuses on 'advancing LGBTI rights around the world'"

No doubts this "world" is limited to the west and they don't venture into places like Gaza, Kabul and Arabia

As long as someone isn't being a weirdo and looking to ruin someone's life you should be able to make jokes about anyone in my opinion......when I was young that was much more the case.

Some jokes are in bad taste or not well received but that's better than today's current climate of censorship and fear. It destroys honesty and it hampers creativity.

Emotional safety-ism is not a grown up way of running a society but that's what we have descended into.

As we all know very well Gingers have no souls and thus it's impossible to be racist to them. (joke)

The bbs however.....well, it has more nuts than KP and thankfully what they think matters not a jot over here.

I have yet to buy a "Matchday Scarf". Why would I? However there seem to be lots of sellers offering their wares at £15.00 each. I do not bother looking close to the AW entrances, but see the sellers in what could be expected to be CPFC supporter areas. Are the sellers purely speculative or are they invited to attend to give greater atmosphere?

Lots of sellers around Norwood Junction station, presumably they are cheaper after the game

The only reason for my defence was because the person doing it was known for accusations of others and they need calling out for hypocrisy. Personally I just believe that 'racism' is a defence trait ingrained into all humans as a matter of survival, a broad distrust of strangers because strangers may kill you, and that is still within us (although the BBS consensus is that we've evolved past all of that, I guess because we're the educated monied west lol). TV entertainment is full of dystopian style futures where the greatest threat is.....other people. Walking Dead anyone? I think that the best way to deal with racism is to not focus on races in any way - this is true equality where everyone is consider on their personal merit, and since human beings are not different species then I struggle to see why so much emphasis is on race, pushed so hard, and that's racism in itself in my view. There are always going to be bad people, and as long as your society treats people equally then the bad people can be dealt with, but you don't deal with bad people by accusing the good ones all the time.

This has largely been an argument on here: merit not race quotas.
